Not a penny. I am a former Illinois resident, I was born there. Not a penny.
I also lived in Chicago for some time and I agree 100%. Expecting the rest of the nation taxpayers to bail their sorry arses out takes plenty of gall...
I agree. Not one bloody penny to a state for pensions they knew they eventually wouldn’t be able to afford.
I agree. IL has known for years that eventually the pension problem would boil over the pot. I can remember several years ago reading about this festering problem. There was speculation at the time as to whether the gvt would help them.
Now the problem is real and immediate. I say, not one penny. They’ve known about this problem for years and have done relatively little to cure the problem. My taxdollars should not be used to fix IL’s known problems.
Not a penny. I am a former Illinois resident, I was born there. Not a penny.

I still live here. Not a penny
My f-ing god, they never stop and are so predictable! Every parasite in America wants something as there are people dying of the virus.
“Not a penny. I am a former Illinois resident, I was born there. Not a penny.”

We thought the rats werent going to be able to pul the red state/ blue state game with opening things up because of the state revenues going down to nothing . We were Wrong they are just going to extort the country. Give us money or we wont open the economy. A rat is a rat is a rat.
I think he means "unpresidented", if I recall the mocking of Trump correctly.
So eat Mitt and bark at the moon, Illinois Democrites.
Every state and city is going to ask for money. None can float bonds. The issue is what are the odds that Congress capitulates and how much. It is going to get much more interesting
I’m STILL stuck here, and I agree. Not a single red cent.
IL leaders did this, and they don’t deserve to be bailed out. They deserve to be replaced with people who aren’t self-obsessed power-hungry pieces of sh!t.
I work every now and again since he is part time with a guy from Chicago who was a fireman there.
He is always boasting how he gets nearly 6 figures for his pension, and still has his healthcare.
He has no problem that the taxpayers back up there are letting him live his lavish lifestyle down here. He complains how we are republican here and votes Dem all the time
.I wish he would move back to Chicago
Try austerity and fiscal prudence, and try not driving taxpayers away. It works.
amen, ts time for the gangstamint to live as responsible citizens, and the citizenry demand it....sad half the country is against said responsibility..Babylon is falling
Not a penny. I am a current Illinois resident, I was born here. Not a penny.
Let the state go bankrupt. Then let it revert to territorial status. The people of Illinois can then reconstitute the state. Perhaps the do-over will be an improvement.
