While public officials continue to be browbeaten by public cries to “shut everything down,” driven by a relentless media in hyperdrive to cover every step of this “COVID-19 crisis,” more and more Americans are waking up to the notion that the current “crisis” might not quite fit current facts.
Part of the skepticism derives from the fact that national policy and practice seems to have taken the Tesla Roadster approach of 0-60 in 1.9 seconds.
February 29th: President Trump called his first press conference regarding COVID-19. Here, Anthony Fauci said, “the country as a whole still remains at a low risk but this remains an evolving situation” while saying that fewer than 20% of those infected would need hospitalization and that most severe cases would be seen in older individuals and those with underlying conditions.
March 15th: as the CDC was issuing their guidelines including social distancing and avoiding gatherings of 50 or more, President Trump introduced his “fifteen days to flatten the curve” initiative, mirroring CDC guidelines.
March 29th: Fauci predicts that COVID-19 could kill 100-200,000 Americans and President Trump announces that CDC’s social distancing guidelines will be kept in place until April 30th.
March 31st: Fauci’s death projections had increased to 240,000 and President Trump wanted “every American to be prepared for the tough days ahead.”
What happened to instigate such rapid and unprecedented government recommendations? Apparently, two disease models -- one created by the Imperial College London and another created by the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.

about 1000 total deaths in 3 states (IL, LA, MA).
About 2000 total deaths in MI.
About 3500 total deaths in NJ.
About 16,000 total deaths in NY.
NY alone represents about half the total deaths in the US. It's WAY out of line with any other state. Sure, it's big and it has subways and stuff. But no way. No 16,000 COVID-19 deaths in NY. They are counting incorrectly and they are counting incorrectly on purpose. Cooking the books to squeeze money from the Feds.
This virus is NOT the big deal that is claimed. It is a false flag and we trashed the economy over nothing.
IT'S JUST DATA, COLLECTED AND GRAPHED DAILY.
I find an occasional visit to @jburnmurdoch's Twitter feed (he graphs for the UK Financial Times) to be very informative. He uses official national numbers to update his log graphs daily. There is a lot to learn from the graphed information. [YES, everybody, including JBM, understands the Chinese and Iranians are lying.]
It looks like U.S. numbers are still climbing, but more slowly. (It's a log graph, remember. What matters is the rate of increase or decrease, not the total population of a nation.) If we track behind Italy, Spain and France, we have a way to go before leveling off. Most of our deaths are from NY and NJ, so they will stay on lockdown much longer than the rest of the country.
Covid-19 is still very mysterious. Why is Australia doing so well? Early contact tracing? Spread-out homes and lifestyle? What accounts for Japan, Austria, Germany etc?There is much to be learned, and JBMs graphs for the FT are a useful analytical tool.
Anyway, I find JDM's graphs interesting and useful.
And if it matters, I fully support Trump's phased relaxation of the lockdown. What is suitable for Manhattan is not suitable for Montana, etc.

Yep. The shadow DS government likely colluded with the CCP on the release. They both had everything to gain, and not so much to lose. IF so, those involved in this need to have their names need to be made public and plastered on billboards, news and social media across the country. Every single person that has suffered under this BS needs to know those names.

We already know that New York won’t open until May 15 at least.
But the question is this — what’s to stop New Yorkers from travelling to Montana? Are they going to put checkpoints in our freeways?
It sure is, 90% media hype, 10% reality is what I’ve thought from the beginning. The coming depression, if unemployment goes to 25% will kill more people per year than any disease has due mostly to suicide.

I say gratuitous slap, because that is a non-negotiable non-bargaining thing to do which has no impact on our efforts to extract the 30 or 40 Trillion or so in damages to ourselves and the international community from CHICOM treachery just to make a reckless, dangerous and irresponsible provocation to disturb the Confucian heavenly order the CHICOMS have established here on earth.
Time we stopped our fascination with Asian land powers and tightened our ties to our international maritime trading partners.
So many people do not understand the concept of risk mitigation. So they see that the numbers come in lower than initially projected and immediately assume that there was never any danger, as opposed to understanding that social distancing and quarantines are having their intended effect.
These are the same kind of people who believe that measles spontaneously disappeared and that vaccine had nothing to do with it.
How does one combat such ignorance?
We knew that, almost from the beginning. Unfortunately the left has an indelible mindset that insists we all be treated (punished?!) the same.
Nothing, nobody wants to be in NY. After Cuomo burns down the upstate economy, the place will be a ghost town.
