New York City, the hardest hit U.S. city in the coronavirus pandemic, revised its official COVID-19 death toll sharply higher to more than 10,000 on Tuesday to include victims presumed to have perished from the disease but never tested.
The new cumulative figure for "confirmed and probable COVID-19 deaths" released by the New York City Health Department marked a staggering increase of over 3,700 deaths formally attributed to the highly contagious illness since March 11.
The 60 percent spike in reported deaths underscored the enormous losses endured in the nation's most populous city, where the sounds of wailing sirens have echoed almost non-stop through largely empty streets for weeks.
The city's revised count, 10,367 in all, raised the number of coronavirus deaths nationwide to more than 28,300 - New York accounting for the biggest share of deaths.
U.S. public health authorities have generally only attributed deaths to COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus, when patients tested positive for the virus.
New York City's Health Department said it will now also count any fatality deemed a "probable" coronavirus death, defined as a victim whose "death certificate lists as a cause of death 'COVID-19' or an equivalent."
March 11 was used as the starting point because that was the date of the first confirmed coronavirus death, the city said.

Were these victims examined before they died by any doctor? You would think if they were suffering enough to have a final outcome of death, that they made a visit to a healthcare facility. Their doctor should know why they were feeling so crappy. Those doctors should have relayed their information to the coroner.
If they aren’t tested how do they know?
If not, the toll would be much higher.
The truth of the matter is...They should have at least been offered the malaria cocktail....and I believe many more would have lived.
So in other words, now the death numbers mean nothing at all to anyone who’s trying to make heads or tails of this thing. Let’s just throw all the stats into a blender — known cases, presumed cases, projected deaths, actual (maybe, sorta, we think so) deaths — and see just how rancid an economy crushing, money grabbing stew of hysteria and justification we can concoct.
And taxpayers get ripped off.

I am not discounting the work of the nurses, Doctors and other professionals going in date and day out in treating patients Because it is their job and that’s just what they’re supposed to do. Is starting to rub me the wrong way when I see people on Facebook or Twitter who have change their profile picture to something on the lines of “I can’t stay home I am a nurse” Or similar.
Personally, I find that very unprofessional and slightly disrespectful.
It is very annoying. Louisiana doing that someone could be horribly decapitated in a car crash, be pronounced dead on the scene but was found positive for COVID-19 and that will get recorded as a coronavirus death in New York State.
Gotta keep the old farts scared. There is an election coming up.

Democrats and the Ministry of Propaganda media will do anything and everything to drag this out regardless of the damage inflicted on people and the country for one reason. They want to destroy Trump at any cost. If they can hang the blame for this on him they’ll let the country burn to the ground.
