Anthony Fauci says parts of U.S. could open next month
KRCR (ABC) ^ | April 12th 2020 | Associated Press

The United States’ top infectious disease expert says the economy in parts of the country could be allowed to reopen as early as next month.

Dr. Anthony Fauci says there’s no light switch that will be clicked to turn everything back on. He says a “rolling re-entry” will be required based on the status of the new coronavirus pandemic in various parts of the country.

Fauci says those factors include the region of the country, the nature of the outbreak it already has experienced and the possible threat of an outbreak to come.

Social distancing guidelines imposed by President Donald Trump are set to expire April 30.

Governors will ultimately determine this thing, no matter what Fauci or Trump say.

They’re dumping the milk because the processors apparently can’t just switch over to all personal-size containers to deliver to food banks, churches, etc.

Just the fact that people can go to supermarkets, gas stations, work at to go restaurants and go up and down elevators in high rise buildings, work cleaning various facilities shows how flawed social distancing is.

Social distancing guidelines probably morphed into “lock down mandates” because some people were not complying and other people were getting sick an dying. Twice in the past week I have walked 3 blocks to my rental property to take care of something or pick up bills. Our Mayor ordered people to wear masks while outside about 10 days ago. Both trips I saw at least a dozen younger people with NO masks, and maybe 3 or 4 older people with masks. Tonight I went to a Walmart (which I think requires people to wear them), and everyone had on a mask, scarf or bandana over their mouth and usually their nose as well. Our area has over 5,000 infected and approaching 100 dead.

Dumping is better that killing, but still a terrible waste. I went to Walmart this evening. There was almost no hamburger or chicken. I wanted milk but could only get one of the 3 remaining gallons of skim milk. All other gallons and most small sizes gone. My partner settled for a gallon of chocolate milk. He usually gets 2% plain.

I saw a report about a week ago that said crime was down about 4%, and violent crime was down 25%. I saw this on TV in a mid Atlantic area.

I have been very interested in the experience of Dr. Robert Cathcart who used very high doses of Vitamin C for about 9,000 seriously ill patients over 10 years. About 3 weeks ago my son in SPecial Forces told me that the World Health Organization (WHO) was telling Google and Facebook to remove some You-Tube videos regarding Vitamin C use in China and in general downplaying this usefulness of C. I have since decided that he was not paranoid, he was right, and that Big Pharma is really scared that we might not need their high priced drugs and vaccines. Below is Dr. Cathcart’s paper on using C for self healing if you can’t get help from your doctor or hospital. Also my recommendations for things to take to strengthen immunity and reduce severity of Covid infecton.

http://www.doctoryourself.com/titration.html
https://greenbeltoutdoors.com/blogs/survival-blog/vitamin-c-in-high-doses-is-safe-in-treatment-of-coronavirus-covid-19-dr-richard-cheng [Also has a link on Vitamin D use.]

To strengthen immunity: 500 or 1,000 mg. Vit. C morning and evening. 5000 IU Vitamin D3 unless you get a lot of sun and high D foods. This is especially important for darker skinned people who don’t absorb D as well as whites. Two or 3 calcium/magnesium/zinc tablets a day. A good daily multivitamin/multimineral table morning and evening. Other supplements that you have found useful and research on line.

If you get sick: follow advice in the two links provided above. For high doses at home, crush C tablets and drink in a glass of water over time. Take higher doses of Zinc from Zinc Picolinate or Zinc Sulfate. Hospitals are finding that there is a high death rate for those who use ventilators. The extra pressure injures lung tissue. There seem to be some patients who can breathe OK, but the air does not seem to help and their blood oxygen is very low. For them, a whole blood transfusion might provide enough healthy red blood cells to carry the oxygen they need. See link below for why this might be true. And discuss it with your doctor and insist if this makes sense.

We did NOT fight WW1 during the Spanish flu epidemic. The war was winding down and finished in 1918. And 1919 was the biggest year. It was all those soldiers and displaced people going to and fro and across the sea that made it get so bad. Kind of like the Chinese going home for the holidays and then returning to jobs near Milan and other places, and then our citizens coming home from places like Italy and the far east and bringing Covid with them, and not being quaranteed for 2 weeks when they got here from Europe, only if from China.

How long are you willing to be told by your overlords that you must hide in your basement?

“Social distancing guidelines probably morphed into “lock down mandates” because some people were not complying and other people were getting sick an dying.”

If that’s the case, it’s not the “scientific” one that Fauci and Birx have been claiming to have.

But it does make intuitive sense that lock downs would be effective in slowing down the spread of an infectious disease. But then again, people are still dying where lock downs are in force. Mandatory quarantine of each and everyone in the country would do even better, and isolation of everyone from members of their household, or mandatory hazmat suits, would certainly do better still.

You would argue that the latter measures are impractical, or cause worse problems, but that’s just the argument made against lock downs. How much is too much? Where do you draw the line? Once you start asking questions like that, you begin a rational discussion.

I’m retired, don’t normally go out much, and am living in a 4 story row house with the man I love. I feel sorry for a lot of other people, but not myself. But when I do go out I see that a lot of young people are not wearing masks in spite of the fact that they have been asked to do so. So how long should I put up with them threatening me when I am in an at risk age category. They are the ones forcing me to “hide” in my 4 story house, not my government.

And you would prefer to have the government tell these people that they have to give up their jobs and careers and businesses because you are too afraid to face the world.

Why don’t you go out and buy a full set of PPE And let everyone else live their lives. Like you said, you are retired. You don’t have a job to lose. You’ve got no skin in the game if you lock yourself in your basement.

Lucky you. Now let the rest of the country get to work so they can fund your retirement.

Initial research on Cipro and Penicillin was done in 2000 by USAMRIID (the militry) because of concern that Anthrax might be used against our soldiers. They used sets of 10 rhesus monkeys with various antibiotics, 2 of which were Cipro and Penicillin. I could not interpret several graphs at the link below, but Table 2 indicated that 3 monkeys had died with Penicillin, but only one died with Cipro. Another link that I did not include because it would only show me a small part without signing up, said that Fauci came in on the situation late in the game. It was a political decision to use Bayer/Cipro earlier in the game. So far as I know Fauci was with NIH, not the military.

Actually the Spanish flu was propelled by WW1 DEmobilization in 1918/1919. The war was 1914 to 1918. If a National Geographic study, see link below, has the right story, Chinese laborers were sent to France to help with ditch digging and other labor. Illness started showing up in the summer of 1918, and a lot of American soldiers were sent home starting around that time, carrying the illness with them. This is an interesting and informative link.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

The false positive rate was 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

If a quarantine saves just one child's or one old fart’s life, it's worth it.

Comedian Bill Burr made one of the most profound comments regarding people 'sheltering in' and the psychological issues arising from that front.

Go to the 3 min mark and listen to his commentary on Anne Frank.
