Trump calls decision on reopening US the biggest of his life
The Hill ^ | April 10, 2020 | M. Chalfant, B. Samuels

Posted on 04/11/2020 12:10:17 AM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

President Trump on Friday described the decision on when and how to reopen the country as the most difficult one he’s had to make in his life, underscoring the careful line he is walking between concerns about the economy and public health during the coronavirus outbreak.

“I don’t know that I’ve had a bigger decision. But I’m going to surround myself with the greatest minds. Not only the greatest minds, but the greatest minds in numerous different businesses, including the business of politics and reason...”

“And we’re going to make a decision, and hopefully it’s going to be the right decision,” he continued. “I will say this. I want to get it open as soon as we can.”

...But public health experts have warned about the risk of reopening the country too early, which could set up a nightmare scenario where COVID-19 again surges in communities and overwhelms hospitals.

Even if Trump decides to relax the guidelines, the decision to reduce restrictions like stay-at-home orders and business closures would ultimately fall to states that implemented them.

To map out a potential reopening, Trump said he will unveil members of a new group Tuesday that he dubbed the “Opening Our Country Council.” The cohort is expected to include administration officials, business leaders and political figures from around the country.

Trump has repeatedly insisted that he will listen to recommendations from top health officials like Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx when making a decision on when and how to relax the guidelines.

“I listen to them about everything. I think they are actually surprised. I have great respect for these people, all of them, and others that are working for us,” Trump told reporters Friday...

“I will certainly listen,” Trump continued later. “I understand the other side of the argument very well."

He needs our prayers more than ever, that God would give him the wisdom of Solomon in this time.

Because you know, that no matter what he does, it’s going to be wrong for the dems and the media. and they will be sure to let us know that they think so.

I can’t think of anyone else we could trust with this.
When he pulls this off and gets the economy rolling again President Donald Trump can certainly be hailed as the greatest President since George Washington.

Yes, whatever he does will “be wrong for them” so HE NEEDS TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! And the EARLIER THE BETTER.

Let the MSM beat up Governors, because it’s not the President who will make the first calls to return to work.

Trump knows once he opens the country, it’s a good thing because the economy will rise. People hate staying at home. One of my former business partners said it very well: the reason why i work is because I dont want to see my wife.

someone posted the following recently, but I just got around to watching it. President Trump should be told about it. brilliant. links to full transcript in the summary:

Youtube: 41m31s: 3 April: Perspectives on the Pandemic | Professor Knut Wittkowski | Episode 2
posted by Journeyman Pictures
In this explosive second edition of Perspectives on the Pandemic, Professor Knut Wittkowski, for twenty years head of The Rockefeller University’s Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design, says that social distancing and lockdown is the absolutely worst way to deal with an airborne respiratory virus.

Further, he offers data to show that China and South Korea had already reached their peak number of cases when they instituted their containment measures. In other words, nature had already achieved, or nearly achieved, herd immunity.

My note to the Prez just now:

Dear Mr. President,

You are doing a terrific job. Thank you.

As far as opening up the country, put that decision at the STATE and COUNTY level. They are closest to the local situation and the wants of their people.

Leave DC out of it. One size does not fit all in these situations.

Don’t do the work of state governors. Let them take ownership.

Respectfully,

Mark Davis

Screener, please don’t trash this note.

He’s been hoodwinked by those two. We all know it, for some reason he doesn’t realize Fauci is working for the Beast and Pelosi to destroy the economy for political reasons.

Relax. We can trust him. He’s got this thing. He has an uncanny ability to “read” things, highly instinctive. Without any data, professionals, specifics to back it up. Uncanny and from the gut. For example, this quote from as about two years ago now:

”I have a feel. I’ll probably know within 5 minutes if we can have a deal or not. It’s what I do.” —June 2018 with respect to Kim Jong Un meeting.

Update: Absolutely no denuke, not even an inventory list of warheads to be declared, failed sanctions, North Korean missiles fired repeatedly since May to test and improve their capabilities, and now new activity noted around Pyungeri nuke site, Sinpo launch area (pop up) and other sensitive sites used in the past, and complete breakdown of talks. Yeah. We got this.

More than half the total number of cases and deaths in the entire US are centered in one metropolitan area. In a sane world, that would be a clue as to the next step.

I have a different read on this. I think he's throwing Fauci and Brix a bone before shoving them out the back door, because they blew the models so badly even they know the jig is up.

Fauci just hopes the damage is done. I agree with the earlier poster that dude just wants bodies sacrificed to Moloch to get Trump beaten, but even Fauci knows Biden is a joke.

I still think the play on Easter Monday is to....
