President Trump on Friday described the decision on when and how to reopen the country as the most difficult one he’s had to make in his life, underscoring the careful line he is walking between concerns about the economy and public health during the coronavirus outbreak.
“I don’t know that I’ve had a bigger decision. But I’m going to surround myself with the greatest minds. Not only the greatest minds, but the greatest minds in numerous different businesses, including the business of politics and reason...”
“And we’re going to make a decision, and hopefully it’s going to be the right decision,” he continued. “I will say this. I want to get it open as soon as we can.”
...But public health experts have warned about the risk of reopening the country too early, which could set up a nightmare scenario where COVID-19 again surges in communities and overwhelms hospitals.
Even if Trump decides to relax the guidelines, the decision to reduce restrictions like stay-at-home orders and business closures would ultimately fall to states that implemented them.
To map out a potential reopening, Trump said he will unveil members of a new group Tuesday that he dubbed the “Opening Our Country Council.” The cohort is expected to include administration officials, business leaders and political figures from around the country.
Trump has repeatedly insisted that he will listen to recommendations from top health officials like Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx when making a decision on when and how to relax the guidelines.
“I listen to them about everything. I think they are actually surprised. I have great respect for these people, all of them, and others that are working for us,” Trump told reporters Friday...
“I will certainly listen,” Trump continued later. “I understand the other side of the argument very well."

I literally evangelized an older near homeless women 15 minutes ago. I had her on my mind as these days I do a lot of walks and see her out and have chatted several times. Given that is Easter, I thought it would be a good time to bring up Christianity if I happened to run into her but hadn’t seen her in the last few days. Then I wanted to walk before bed so out I went. I turned a corner and there she was.
The door opened within our conversation and I walked thru. She listened quite sincerely and if I had to guess she will accept Christ as her Savior in the near future. Made my night and Easter. Hope yours is well also.

When that bogus model prediction wasn’t panning out, Fauci and cheerleaders like you revised your predictions to 100K-240K deaths that would surely result from COVID-19! Now we’re being assured that 60K Americans are going to die from COVID-19! Gee, you guys were only off by 2,140,000 in your projections!
Guess what? As of now, only 20,577 Americans have died from this bug, and we’re at the peak part of this “pandemic” according to Fauci! You nuts couldn’t have been more wrong if you tried! And don’t even try telling us that the reason the projected death rates from COVID-19 dropped from 2.2 million to 60K was from “Social distancing!” There is no way in Hell that simply practicing social distancing resulted in this large of a drop in projected deaths! But you’ll never admit this, because it destroys your fairy tale of how deadly COVID-19 is.

President Trump is guiding a ship between two class 5 Hurricanes with no clear path to calm seas. One keeps things shut down which means the end the United States with many people dying. The other starts opening the USA which means more people dying.
President Trump will try both, open locations and keep hot spots close. If an area flares up it will be close. If a hot spot turns cold, it will open back up. The first lock down gave the USA the ability to get our medical system and supplies in order. The lock down also allowed the Doctors to discover and try new treatment plans that work.
A vaccine is a good 18 months from now if they find one quickly. Just remember there are plenty of flu/virus we have not develop a vaccine for, it could be while. There is no doubt we will continue to lose love ones to this virus over the next year. The love ones will be the ones with medical conditions. We might get lucky too and this virus mutates away, we just do not know.
As citizens we need to put our difference (Just a flu and It is not a flu) away and ensure President Trump is reelected. If he is not reelected this fall, the United States will fall under the Democrat party. This is the Democrat party perfect chance to reshape the country into a country of their dream (Socialist Country).

What is your plan for protecting them from a virtual death sentence if their food or medicine is brought to them in a nursing home or hospital room?
We get one outbreak in a hospital, nursing home, etc. and the November election is in trouble. But that shouldn’t even be the issue.
Testing can solve these problems.
And it is a simple solution for those who are capable of thinking beyond their own nose. It doesn’t have to be for every person walking the country. But it can be for a hell of a lot more than is getting tested now and it could happen quick if pushed.
I was having and will continue to go having a wonderful Easter even after reading your post. But one calamity of this whole ordeal, and it’s especially sad here, is that folks like you have to personally attack those with different ideas than their own.
