Wow, my husband and I were joking about this today, saying wouldn't it be weird if that was the cure, as our dog is due for his heartworm tomorrow. Those pills are NOT cheap for dogs.

Heartworm treatment for the big girl was 2300 bucks, for the little girl it was 1400 bucks.

Yes, it is used for heartworms and all kinds of parasites in horses, sheep, cattle, and pretty much everything else. I have plenty of it on hand. It’s also used to treat mange in dogs, among other things.

It also is a broad spectrum vermicide when given to dogs at a slightly higher dose. But, certain dog breeds, mostly herding dogs, may have a negative reaction to it.
