Lost job and can’t get unemployment.
Bills still keep coming in.
Still have to eat.
All attempts to find other jobs are stymied by this quarantine.
My savings were already slim because of turmoil in the job area, and there’s nothing left now.

I’m sorry for your situation, and I’m very much aware many in our communities, hard working Americans are hurting financially through no fault of their own. Many small businesses will never return.

I certainly don’t have that attitude. If you lost your job why can’t you collect unemployment? My understanding is it will pay you net (under the legislation just signed) what you were earning when you were working?

If you are married you will soon be getting $2500, not a huge amount of cash but surely it will help.

Hope you find all the food, shelter, health, and wealth you and your family need, and speedily; really disappointed in a lot of posters' comments who don't realize or don't care how vulnerable millions of fellow Americans and people who love God are. Left wing nuts and right wing nuts are both nuts. The bill was a compromise; no group gets everything they desire but getting help quickly is necessary to calm markets, employers, and avert a Great Depression (which would probably give Democrats all branches of govt).

Sorry to hear about your situation. If I heard correctly, you might be able to get unemployment ins. My SIL owns a small business and I believe he’s going to collect, as are his 1099 independent contractors. That’s not been done before.

Sorry to hear that buddy. We would be better off just working instead of this and the stimulus which is too much money to burden future Americans with. People will demand this crap everytime something happens now
