New York Attorney General Letitia James lashed out Thursday at state leaders who are working to save lives from the coronavirus and abortions.
The pro-abortion Democrat urged state and federal lawmakers to make sure elective abortions continue to be available and easily accessible during the health crisis, The Hill reports.
Many states are ordering non-essential medical care to be postponed, but pro-abortion Democrat leaders have been carving out exceptions for abortions, even though they are elective and do not save lives.
To be clear, the coronavirus is not an excuse for federal, state, or local governments to curtail womens reproductive freedoms or limit their choices, James said in a statement. Any woman who wants to go into a doctors office or into a clinic today and get an abortion should continue to be able to do so.
She slammed Republican governors in Texas, Ohio, Tennessee and other states for including abortions in their restrictions on non-essential medical care.
The restrictions we are seeing be put into place are simply aimed at controlling womens bodies, womens choices, and womens freedom, and I will do everything in my power to stop this attack on a womans constitutional right to an abortion, James said.
She also hinted about expanding elective abortions in New York, possibly through mail-order abortion drugs.
And for those who do not feel comfortable leaving their homes as we battle COVID-19, we are fighting to maintain womens access to abortion and the abortion pill so that their reproductive choices are not limited, James said.
Despite what Democrat leaders claim, abortions are elective. Whats more, they are not life-saving, they are life-destroying. An unborn baby is killed, and its mothers life is put at risk.
Recently, medical groups representing more than 30,000 doctors in America emphasized that abortions are not essential or urgent, and abortion facilities that continue to operate during the pandemic are being medically irresponsible.

Common abortion complications include infections, blood clots, hemorrhaging and an incomplete abortion where parts of the baby remain inside the mothers womb. Abortion risks include future preterm births, breast cancer, suicide, anxiety/depression, and death. And it is not true that abortions are safer than childbirth.
On Tuesday, national pro-life leaders sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services urging a national ban on abortions during the pandemic.
While surgery centers postpone elective and diagnostic procedures, abortion centers are churning out surgical and chemical abortions and putting women, especially the poor, at risk, the letter reads. Their continued operation depletes sorely needed personal protective equipment and leads to complications that will further overwhelm already overextended emergency rooms.

I saw the doctor today and they treating people in the freaking parking lot just to prevent the spread!
Look for a cure for Coronavirus to heal Ameriacans, and then murder unborn and newly born Americans.
Is there no end to the madness of the Democrat Party?
Evil never takes a day off...
Hope she burns in hell
Democrats working to save lives but murdering children. Sick!
Let the killings go on.
Was she holding a scythe when she made that announcement?
You know, God might allow us as a country to recover faster if we were to drop the abortion gig. Just speculating, but it seems like that would be the case.
I’ve never understood the Dem’s desire to kill off possible future voters for their party. Apparently they don’t want the 18 year delay it will take to indoctrinate them, when they can get illegal immigrants to illegally vote now.
I believe when she was running for office that she said that going after President Trump and his family would be her first priority. So abortion might be her second.
