Andrew Cuomo (D) said Wednesday that New York's current coronavirus hospitalization rate is “headed in the right direction,” even as he works to greatly increase hospitals' capacity as the number of cases is expected to spike.
Cuomo said during his daily press conference on COVID-19 that efforts to engage in social distancing and limit the density of people “may be working.”
The governor cited Tuesday projections that showed a doubling of hospitalization numbers is expected to occur every 4.7 days, compared to a Sunday projection that had shown every two days.
“Now, that is almost too good to be true,” he said, adding that the data indicates about 15 percent of people who test positive need hospitalization.
“This is everything,” he added. “Slowing the hospitalization rates coming into the hospitals are everything so the hospitals can deal with the rate of people coming in.”

Cuomo toned down his attitude today. Said he and Trump talked this morning. Cuomo wants 15 Billion from Congress, Said the 3.5 billion offered won’t cut it. What better way to get More Money then to Inflate Disaster Talk everyday. Call me skeptical ...after all it is Budget time in NY State....

TO TANK TRUMPs Continuing momentum to re-election in 2020, TO TANK THE ECONOMY to help tank TRUMPs reelection, as payback for CHINAs woes due to TRUMPs push back on them in trading and finally because THE DEMS have NO ONE TO COMBAT IN ELECTION unless something like this was pulled! (thats why CCP partnered with certain deep staters and dems to INTENTIONALLY released this virus on USA)!
THIS WAS NO ACCIDENT - just wish we had the goods on them to prove it in real time! This is sad, pitiful, depressing and disgusting! And I am not even considering my situation now with IRA/401k and where I was and am now and am in retirement and f’ked - had it made! Things are probably getting because Uncle Sugar is making a deposit in his bank account.
No matter how great mkt is doing, if at or near retirement you cant be 100% invested in stock. I never sold in 2008. But now in retirement I’ve been hurt but not so bad as I had some of it in cash and bonds.
Cuomo was fear mongering yesterday and I predicted to my husband that he would be WRONG WRONG WRONG.
Oh I’m not 100% in stks 60-40ish % only down 10-15% or so...exageraiting but I never like to loose even .01%...not like this...people contriving and stealing it!
They’re talking about the rate of growth in the number of hospitalizations, not the rate at which people with the virus are being hospitalized.
And that rate of growth (in infections and therefore in hospitalizations) should be slowed by social distancing.

If the numbers don’t happen, it will be for two reasons:
1) The virus isn’t that bad for most people and, yes, a lot more people have already contracted it than we now think, and/or
2) The hydroxychloroquine regimen is working as claimed by Dr. Zelenko and is allowing most people infected to recover without substantial medical care.
It could be either one, or a combination of the two.
The Dems and the press will never admit that our bacon was saved by hydroxychloroquine, but the people will know anyway. And if that is so, it could mark the end of some of the more liberal press outlets given that they will not only failed to inform us of the ultimate treatment, but actively sought to keep it from the public for several days (or longer, if they remain stubborn).
Hubby says same thing as you. Stealing it before our eyes. He had too much in stock.
