Money to compensate victims of the Chinese #bioweapon known as the Corona Virus, or Wuhan Flu is being debated in the US Senate. An attempt to add funding for socialism programs by Nancy Pelosi stalled bipartisan negotiations.

Senator Tom Cotton speaking now! Cotton was ahead of the curve on stopping trade with China.

Actually, the bill originated with the President’s proposals. Mitch, Mnuchin, Pence and Republican senators pushed it to this point. Once they vote (after all the senators yak incessantly to take credit) then we still have to get past Pelosi

Because you only thanked Mitch and the Republicans and not the person who got the ball rolling, President Trump.

President Trump could do very little if the Senate didn't do what they do.

And you assume that the Senate didn't already have this ball rolling in advance of nancy pelosi

Don't assume things and don't tell me who I should thank or when...

I don’t know if this is the case, but a friend sent this.

“Final text of the bill has not been released, but according to a legislative draft, the new law would establish a $4.5 trillion corporate bailout fund overseen by Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, with few substantive constraints. The bill permits bailed out companies to lay off up to 10% of their workforce over the next six months, with no restrictions thereafter. Mnuchin would have authority to waive any upside for the public in its new investments, and the bill’s restrictions on stock buybacks at bailed-out firms are too temporary to be significant. Bailed out companies could even pay dividends to their shareholders.”

How much you want to bet this is a bad bill.  I hope President Trump vetos it.

- Kennedy Center: $25,000,000

- National Endowment for the Humanities (whatever the that is) $75,000,000

- Migration and Refugee Assistance (illegal aliens) $350,000,000

Congress has become an organized crime syndicate

The part I am most concerned about is the ballot harvesting. If ballot harvesting is allowed it will be very easy for democrats to cheat their way into the White House. Does anyone here know if it has been removed from the bill?

The fact that President Trump got this ball rolling with his proposal and galvanized the Republican senate to act is the central point. The senate’s subsequent actions did get a bill passed in that side of Congress. As I write this who knows what Pelosi’s House will do. If you don’t care to thank the President, that’s your choice. But pointing out that he also deserves thanks is my choice.

But in full disclosure, what the president wanted was a tax holiday on payroll tax. Did he get that from the Senate? If so I havent heard it. Seems like what he got was a big socialist give-away wrapped in an even bigger quantitative easing (cash printing) plan.

There you go assuming again

And you can sing the President's praises all you want, but don't criticize me for not doing it when you decide I should.
