The House Intelligence Committee and its chairman Adam Schiff invoked sovereign immunity in a motion to dismiss a Judicial Watch lawsuit seeking to obtain controversial phone records subpoenas issued during the Trump impeachment inquiry.
The committees subpoenas of phone records ultimately led to the publication of multiple Americans phone records, including those of reporter John Solomon, California Rep. Devin Nunes, the presidents lawyer Rudy Giuliani and others.

A sovereign is a king.
So Schiff is doing what he impeached Trump for doing. Interesting.
Lol, this is like the people that get arrested and claim theyre Sovereign citizens
Double secret executive privilege
You know, what they tried to impeach Trump for as obstruction
Anyone can just claim immunity as a get out of jail card. Who knew?
Get a warrant, invade his office. Take his files and computer and then let him fight the action in court
Sovereign immunity, or crown immunity, is a legal doctrine whereby a sovereign or state cannot commit a legal wrong and is immune from civil suit or criminal prosecution, strictly speaking in modern texts in its own courts. A similar, stronger rule as regards foreign courts is named state immunity.
Schiff-for-brains is no sovereign, except in his own hallucinations.
He is merely an employee of We the People.
“It’s Been Revoked” - Dan Glover, Lethal Weapon 2
He is not a sovereign. We fought an 8 year revolution to rid ourselves of people who felt entitled to be our sovereigns.
What country is Schiff sovereign over?
Agreed. Action, not conversation.
I sometimes watch Live PD, and lots of Schiff-for-brains buddies use that same excuse about why they have no drivers licenses.
The cops bust them anyways.
Sovereign immunity takes two forms: (1) immunity from suit (also known as immunity from jurisdiction or adjudication) and (2) immunity from enforcement.
It does not, however block the identification of facts. It just means they cannot be sued or arrested for the act sans actual crimes.
But they cannot use that to deny information. And that can lead to being caught lying and cause him not to be re-elected. And that is within the confines of the law.

I guess hes claiming that they are actually suing the government.
Adam, you may have immunity from prosecution, but that doesn’t extend to HIDING EVIDENCE OF A CRIME!
But what about all that transparency he demanded from Trump?
But what about all that transparency he demanded from Trump?

That’s a one way street. Do what I say, not what I do.

RKV: "Yes! It is in fact 'obstruction of justice.'"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Where have you two been the last several months?
kosciusko51 mignt be able to claim, "</SARCASM>", but RKV is without excuse:
One of the two bogus "Articles of Impeachment" was that POTUS Trump "obstructed (congressional) justice when he claimed 'executive privilege immunity' from congressional subpoenas".
The US Senate -- acting as jury -- soundly rejected that stupid "Article" (along with the other one) as bogus and legally insufficient.
~~~~~~~~~~~
All occupants of the office of POTUS have Executive Privilege.
OTOH, Congresscritter Schiffty enjoys no such thing as "Sovereign Immunity". Purely and simply, his refusal to comply with subpoenas is, itself Obstruction of Justice.
