Why there will soon be tons of toilet paper, and what food may be scarce, according to supply chain experts

Stuck rationing toilet paper because you didn't stockpile during the coronavirus panic over the last few days? Don't worry, according to supply chain experts.

"All the grocery stores are going to have pallets of toilet paper sitting in the aisles and nobody is going to buy it because who needs to buy toilet paper when you got a year's worth sitting in your garage," Daniel Stanton, a supply chain expert and author of "Supply Chain Management for Dummies," tells CNBC Make It. But what about food? Even if the COVID-19 pandemic stretches over months (President Donald Trump said it could last until August), there will no big food shortages, especially on staples like milk, eggs, cheese, bread and meat, according to three supply chain experts who spoke to Make It.

Slightly different way to look at it: God provided for their needs using Joseph.

If we don’t listen and obey, we miss many blessings and opportunities. Reminds me of what is attributed as a Swedish proverb:

God gives every bird a worm, but he does not throw it into the nest.

I take offense that you presumed me to be a religious wacko.

I used to as well; but then I realized that I was a religious wacko!

You'll get used to it.

I've been called ugly by many a toad.

My hens give me about 5 to 8 eggs a day, haven’t bought an egg in about 18 years.

Don’t understand why everybody doesn’t have about 8 to 10 chickens in their back yard.

When they stop laying, you kill’em and eat’em; replace them with new chicks.

“Yesterday, I saw 1 man carrying 4 cartons of Eggs.”

I’m a single guy. I eat primarily protein. I went to Publix today and bought 4 18 packs of eggs. I am not hoarding, I just eat a lot eggs. They will last me about a week. That was all I bought, too, because I had already done a Walmart pickup and they were out of eggs. Is a week’s supply selfish? What, in your mind, would be acceptable?

For the record, between what we have in the pantry, canned goods in the basement, and frozen vegetables out of the garden, I would guess we could survive for six months or so. . . but that was not done out of fear or lack of faith, just taking advantage of God’s bounty and goodness.

Carton eggs are not washed in most other countries (their women can deal with eggs the way they exit the hens).

Those foreign women are wonderfully resourceful aren't they?

Wonder what they do with the bacteria on the eggs?

When I was first learning to can - butter was so easy that I’ve now got so much that I’m thinking about selling it mail order. Keeps practically forever.
