I think it was research work that got out accidently. occam’s razor and all that. I am not married to any conclusions, but
we don’t know how privately forthcoming china was with the US. they may well have been more open than publicly, and that may be why trump initially praised their response etc etc. letting them save face initially and arguably dialing down a situation that could well lead to war down the line was a no-brainer. I remain worried the odds of a world war have gone up quite a bit in the coming years.

Boy, press is nasty this morning - now asking how the privileged like NBA players get tested and those at clinics/hospitals can’t. President’s response is that this happens some times, but we are ramping up to eliminate that. Points out that this was not anticipated and the administration is now making changes to take care of this problem.
