This is the same argument that Cuomo made on national t.v. this morning followed by POTUS and his whole team making the very same points. 15 days of.stay the F home. The but flu bros will be here shortly to poo poo any mathematical sense or logic because IT’S JUST FLU /S people will not social distance until forced to by local law enforcement or the national guard and if people keep it up martial law will be declared and the Army and Marines will enforce marital quarantine. Better to nip this now while we have hospital capacity than later when we have troops and.K rails in the highways like Italy.

It is interesting how many people from both the left and the right are so comfortable with, and anxious to experiment with, authoritarianism. That applies to this and numerous other societal issues.

The whole idea of “social distancing” in a free nation is preposterous.

If I refuse to participate in that idiocy, who am I putting at risk? Only myself, along with other people who are also VOLUNTARILY refusing to participate. Nobody who feels like they are at risk and wishes to protect themselves is going to face any more exposure just because I ignore a “social distancing” directive. It’s not like I’m gathering a band of friends to invade nursing homes and daycare centers.

I agree with social distancing, and have been prepping since January.

But you seem to be drooling and touching yourself a little *too* eagerly over the prospect of Martial Law.

Save it for Antifa.

I realize now that the people are stupid. If everybody was like me, we went WAY overboard. I already socially distance. I monitor my health, and don’t go visit old people if I have a sniffle. When they told me about COVID, I started testing my temperature twice a day. I do the cleaning hands.

I go to the gym, I stay away from people. I swim, which disinfects me. If I used equipment, I wipe it down before and after — and ALWAYS HAVE.

I go out for pokemon, and we have a group, I stand to the side, and not downwind or upwind, and avoid any contact.

I go to restaurants, but I dont’ touch a bunch of stuff, I don’t grab my server, I wash my hands right after dinner before I leave. I am not a slob. I always washed my hands for 20 seconds after bathroom breaks.

But apparently, most people are idiots. Knowing that, I guess I should have been more supportive of the forced isolation crowd. But I just didn’t realize that the average american, told they need to stay away from everybody, would immeidately stand in a 1-hour close-packed line waiting to get into a fully packed grocery store to buy toilet paper, ignoring the people sneezing and coughing all around them.
