with the WuFlu emergency declaration, the wall should be expedited and built faster - plus the border needs to be shut down, all asylum claims denied and immigration stopped.

Including the per-construction, the total is about 1/4 of the border Pretty good since PDJT faced such opposition

We Build the Wall org. has another project starting soon. Won’t say where/when. Probably want to keep the protestors guessing. Avoid conflict and all.

Infections are not coming from hot weather Mexico, most infections in USA have been traced to European travelers coming here.

However I am very happy to see Trump is able to make good progress on southern border wall in spite of hard resistance from Pelosi & Schumer.

“with the WuFlu emergency declaration, the wall should be expedited”

The Wall building Program was formally put on an Emergency basis in February of 2019. Heavy construction just takes time.

Since the President’s February of 2019 emergency declaration, a huge bulge began working itself through the pipeline of contracting and construction. That bulge itself has has continued to grow larger. This year, over $12 billion will be jammed onto contracts - twice as much as the first three years of the Trump Administration combined.

Trump’s original proposals for border security from 2015 included immigration processing centers with medical and quarantine facilities included interspersed along the borders.

Do we have any data about that getting started?

AGREED! if our emergency rooms become filled in major cities by ILLEGAL ALIENS while US citizens are told to go home how will the prog suburban woman who sees her family passed over deal with a party that has stood for illegals over citizens for 2 decades.
Will she FINALLY become a rt-winger?
I saw how many of these women voted D during the last TX primary.

Are we about to regret having not gotten the wall built before Mexico gets the Corona Virus?

“what is pre-construction?”

All project activities, prior to ground breaking. Basically, everything between getting the money to do it, and ground breaking. In a very substantial way, getting the money is the big fight, everything else is just waiting.

The biggest element is the Federal contracting process itself which has been running about six months after funding is on hand (some DoD contracts in just 2 months, some tough ones in the Rio Grande Valley dragging well over a year).

Land acquisition has been a major delay in the Rio Grande Valley, where over 400 privately owned plots must be settled with, and many individual plots have multiple owners (shared among Great-Grandpa’s descendants) and/or unclear ownership, sometimes all the way back to early Spanish land grants.

Other complex (pre-construction) issues take extra time there, like flood control considerations, special restrictions written into law, and additional property owners in the flood plain, who will have land fenced on the South side of the new barrier.

Once Contracts are awarded, contractors have an additional period of pre-construction time to buy and position materials and equipment, and to hire and train crews, before actual construction starts. That can range from several weeks to many months - again, over a year has occurred on some in the Rio Grande Valley.

Don’t see how the Democrats can still be against a wall, when they are the biggest proponents of guarantees and business shutdowns.

This disease just proves the point that illegals are a worldwide menace to society at large!

Thank you, I thought it might be “to be built yet” but it kept changing.
Appreciate it!!
