What have I said that is hesterical?
Buy a can of beans.
You guys are so intent on attacking everyone, you have no idea what you are attacking.
THAT is pretty much the definition of a normalcy bias. Your view of the world is being challenged. Instead of stopping for a second and asking if there is ANY validity, you back into the corner and lash out.
So, before attack people who are being reasoned, you might want to think...just for a second...about what that person is writing.
Just to summarize. Since the middle of January:
1. This wont kill you. (98% in your favor)
2. This probably wont make you sick.
3. This will impact you financially and culturally.
4. Stay away from the hospitals if possible.
Look it up. The only prepping I espoused was buying a can of beans. I also advocating shorting the marketbut even that is crazy now.
You are so worked up its causing your hands to shake.
Just relax. You are not dying. Neither am I. We wont even get sick.
Go for a walk. I am sorry for your friend. Believe it or not, I am in a similar situation as I speak. I know it sucks.
But, arguing on the Internet is not salving anything.
that would be good. I do NOT like this fauci guy, in particular.
The lack of testing in US, compared to South Korea, IS a problem. If we’d been able to test on a large scale, we might have seen that the mortality rate is much lower than fear-mongers have been shouting.
I’ve been so frustrated/angry at the health officials on the White House coronavirus task force, who won’t give straight answers when they’re asked why we were so behind in testing. Without fail, they “answer” by changing the subject and talk about something else.
Apparently the bureaucrats at CDC and FDA may be to blame for the testing delays - at least that’s what I’m picking up from articles on the problem. Trump and his cabinet should make this clear, and explain that it’s a case of government insiders screwing-up, if that’s what happened.
Over 1.6 million people have died from cancer in 2020 alone.
Over 3,000 people die a day in car accidents.
202,811 have died from malaria in 2020.
517,193 have died from alcohol in 2020.

recovered patients often are left with 20 to 30% less lung function.
That is NOT the result of any clinical study. That was an “observation” by one doctor on recovering patients and only involved 12 patients TOTAL! That is not a valid conclusion at all! People that post “data” that is obviously biased or inaccurate only proves the poster is trying to force a narrative or agenda on the populace to invoke panic. This false internet information spreads worse then a virus and needs to be called out as bogus immediately.
I didn't call you hysterical.
You're the one who attacked Britt Hume for not understanding the death rate denominator.
And you're the one who broad brushes Freepers who disagree with you as Normalcy Biased.
I simply pointed out that you were wrong on both of those attacks.
You guys are so intent on attacking everyone, you have no idea what you are attacking. THAT is pretty much the definition of a normalcy bias. Your view of the world is being challenged. Instead of stopping for a second and asking if there is ANY validity, you back into the corner and lash out.
Yup, there you go again. What utter nonsense.
BTW, I have no disagreement with your summary list.
Ping
There you go, being hysterical again. /s
I am not a CV denier, but I sort of was not considering it seriously. I consider the pandemic a serious threat now. Why?
1. Different from flu, we have no natural immunity. It is to us like smallpox was to the American Indians
2. It is 4 to 6 times more contagious than traditional cold / flu virus and spreads exponentially just that much faster. Why?
3. It is a very tough virus with a high rate of survivability in the environment. We have no natural immunity to it.
4. The relatively low infection and death rates for China as a part of the whole population are not average. They are for a population subjected to draconian measures and enforced quarantine. We have no such thing. Even with the Chinese efforts it was bad. If we expect a Chinese progress we have to do what they did. Otherwise this will explode much worse than their outbreak
5. We are now at an infection rate similar to Italy of two short weeks ago. If we dont do something serious to contain / mitigate we will be where they are now IN A HELL OF A HORRIBLE MESS.
I was a skeptic but upon study of the facts I am no longer. We are on self-imposed isolation and I have sent my helper home for at least two weeks. We may extend our program. I do not consider my liberty at stake at all. I consider anyone who does not follow the guidelines as selfish and probably ignorant and not a friend to any of us.
It is too late for the economy to stay even somewhat upright. At least the stock market. The President’s plan would like to allow life to go on with some normalcy but only hurt certain sectors. It is the best that can be done under the circumstances. If people don’t follow the plan the pain will be far greater. I expect that they will not follow the plan and so we have decided to self-isolate for quite some time. If this current plan does not slow the spread dramatically nobody is going to like what comes next.
