Agree. And is the virus going to just go away because we are hovering inside our homes and watching golfers from the 50’s? Sooner or later when we emerge from this protective cocoon it’s going to run its course. Will we have a vaccine? Well maybe and maybe not. Meantime will we still have a country?

A big part of what we need to do is curtail our away from home behavior for 2-4 weeks and we will immensely help our system response to this.

Amen! I can understand trying to slow the spread out some to allow time to experiment with treatment. But we don’t need to destroy our country over it. I’d be safer driving a tank to work instead of a car, but I have to balance safety against all the rest of my life.

This is why a lock down will not work. You have to many people who do not recognized the danger of COVID-19. They are convince the virus is vast left wing conspiracy to destroy President Trump. They need to go back and listen to President Trumps declaration of National Emergency.
Then you have the other groups I am young it will not effect me. They are on spring break and do not care. That group will be going home soon because the colleges are close to spread the virus in their home towns.
Then you have the Just A flu bro crowd, who misinterpret data (just like the global warming crowd) to back their belief that this a nothing.
Those are either not respitory illnesses, taxing the number of respirators we have, or do not spread as quickly.

Flattening the curve will mean fewer people in the hospital at once, making successful treatment more likely of more people. Plus the springtime weather may mean a flu-like retreat of the virus. This gives time to develop and test vaccines.
He’s giving our loons some scare meat and they are demanding we “spread” this BS to family and friends.
