Trump: Obama Helped Create Issues At CDC; I’ve Fixed Them And We’re ‘Ready To Go!’

On Friday morning, President Donald Trump criticized his predecessor former President Barack Obama for refusing to fix issues at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and allegedly making “changes” that only “complicated” the problems. The president told the public that his administration, however, has cut through the “red tape” and are now “ready to go.”

“For decades the [CDC] looked at, and studied, its testing system, but did nothing about it,” President Trump posted to social media. “It would always be inadequate and slow for a large scale pandemic, but a pandemic would never happen, they hoped.”

“President Obama made changes that only complicated things further,” the president said.

In a follow-up tweet, Trump said that the Obama administration’s “response to H1N1 Swine flu was a full scale disaster, with thousands dying, and nothing meaningful done to fix the testing problem, until now.”

“The changes have been made and testing will soon happen on a very large scale basis. All Red Tape has been cut, ready to go!” he assured the public.

According to information from the CDC, compiled at Becker’s Hospital Review, H1N1, or swine flu, “caused 60.8 million illnesses, 273,304 hospitalizations and 12,469 deaths in the U.S.” between April 12, 2009 and April 10, 2010.

“On Oct. 5, 2009, the U.S. began administering a newly approved H1N1 vaccine to select Americans, with vaccination coverage expanding nationwide by that December,” the outlet noted, adding that an estimated 151,700 to 575,400 people died globally from swine flu in the first year of the pandemic.

COVID-19 “has sickened 1,323 Americans and killed 38, as of March 12,” CDC data shows, Becker’s Hospital Review said. “More than 127,00 cases and 4,700 deaths have been reported globally.”

As concerns continued to grow over the virus, Trump addressed the nation on Wednesday night, assuring the public that the crisis is being taken seriously and appropriate actions are being taken, most significantly a 30-day travel ban from Europe to the States.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, the travel ban “suspends the entry of most foreign nationals who have been in certain European countries at any point during the 14 days prior to their scheduled arrival to the United States” and excludes “legal permanent residents, (generally) immediate family members of U.S. citizens, and other individuals who are identified in the proclamation.”

Moreover, as stressed by The New York Post on Thursday, “Trump was right in January to stop most Chinese nationals from entering the US, a fact that many of his critics still can’t accept.”

The administration was also able to get major insurance companies to agree to waive copays on coronavirus testing.

Later on Friday morning, the president promoted a payroll tax cut intended to provide economic relief amid the outbreak.

“If you want to get money into the hands of people quickly & efficiently, let them have the full money that they earned, APPROVE A PAYROLL TAX CUT until the end of the year, December 31,” Trump wrote. “Then you are doing something that is really meaningful. Only that will make a big difference!”

The Director of the CDC has impeccable credentials, but was appointed in March, 2018. He has been in place long enough to have effected changes in the vaccine development...

He has to keep it relevant, as the RATS will try to hand this on him as a Katrina. Compared to Obama’s response (and JOE BIDEN and his Administration (Hillary) he will be able to contrast himself to Biden and numerically show how he handled it much better.

That was the whole point.

The rules had been changed so that when the public emergency was invoked, that the FDA now had to approve all of the locally invented test kits.

In away, it’s stupider than that, but also more arcane.

“The declaration of an emergency Jan 31 brought more powers to bear, but also invoked new rules. The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) had to figure out and then submit a request to the FDA to get around these rules (which the CDC wasn’t allowed to bypass) which didn’t normally exist, which wasn’t actually done until Feb 24. The APHL finally asked the FDA, and the FDA agreed to ignore the rules.”

Feb 28th:

https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2020/02/united-states-badly-bungled-coronavirus-testing-things-may-soon-improve

“In principle, many hospital and academic labs around the country have the capability to carry out tests themselves.
The PCR reaction uses so-called primers, short stretches of DNA, to find viral sequences. The CDC website posts the primers used in its test, and WHO publicly catalogs other primers and protocols, too. Well-equipped state or local labs can use these—or come up with their own—to produce what are known as a “laboratory-developed tests” for in-house use.

“But at the moment, they’re not allowed to do that without FDA approval. When the United States declared the outbreak a public health emergency on 31 January, a bureaucratic process kicked in that requires FDA’s “emergency use approval” for any tests. “The declaration of a public health emergency did exactly what it shouldn’t have. It limited the diagnostic capacity of this country,” Mina says. “It’s insane.”

“On 24 February, APHL asked FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn for “enforcement discretion” to sidestep the emergency process and allow APHL members labs to use their own tests. On 26 February, Hahn replied that the CDC test could be modified to use just the primers that specifically detect SARS-CoV-2, essentially ignoring the faulty portion of the kits. FDA, in other words, would look the other way to make more widespread testing possible.

He’s much too magnanimous. I would like to know which diseases the CDC has controlled and/or prevented.

Forgive me if I’m a little behind, but what is the story the dems are spouting about on President Trump firing the entire pandemic response team in 2018?

The media and rats want to overload the testing labs as much as possible so they are acting as if this is the only ailment that needs testing for and therefore all resources should be allocated to this or “Trump’s not trying.” In reality there’s a lot of deadlier and more common diseases these labs have to deal with too. The press hype is to drive higher the demand for tests even among those who don’t fit the profile.

Was the CDC head at PT conference earlier? I don’t remember his name but I didn’t see him there.

Just like Trump, I hadn’t heard of that. But, with near certainty, they were likely DEEP STATE Obama recruited drones who were simply sent back to their source agencies (e.g., the CDC). They were able to conduct sabotage/resistance operations from there as easily as from “the White House”.
