Sen. Ted Cruz has self-quarantined after shaking hands with a person who tested positive for COVID-19, he said in a news release.
Cruz, R-Texas, said Sunday that he shook hands and briefly spoke with an attendee at the Conservative Political Action Conference last month in Maryland. That person later tested positive for the new coronavirus.
The senator is quarantining himself at his home in Texas this week out of an abundance of caution, he said.

If Cruz gets infected, it will be the Canadian Flu.

The head of the Lombardy’s intensive care crisis unit says the health system is on the brink of collapse, intensive care being set up in hallways. By March 26 they predict ~18,000 #Covid19 cases in Lombardy, of which ~3,000 will need intensive care.

Is this because as Italians, they are poor at organizing and managing (cue the Heaven/Hell joke), or something else? Aren’t we as Americans better at triaging/organizing/managing?
Cruz should have done the Elizabeth Warren handshake. Raise you hand to shoulder level, palm forward, and say “how”.
I hope he stays well. I love his new pod cast .I also hope his aunt stays well and wasn’t exposed

Although FR’s allegiances seem to blow with the wind - “Bush? BAD!” - I am a Cruz supporter. He is a hard-core constitutionalist and I am pleased there’s at least ONE.

Caveat. Despite Cruz stabbing Trump in the back during and after the election, he appears to have shifted from a Never Trumper to being a loyalist to Orange Man.
I’m a fan of Cruz.
As long as he doesn’t run against Trump again, I am ok with Ted.
