I’m just curious. At this point anybody on free republic or in the world that doesn’t know that this may end up being a very bad pandemic is either dead or deep deep deep in a cave. Why do you feel the need, you and others, to keep posting doomsday article after doomsday article? Trust me I know life gets boring but get a pet :-)
I just want to know what the constructive part of this article and many many of the articles here have been.
We know it’s bad. We know a whole lot of people are going to get it. What does this add that helps?
....it’s just too early to be making these sorts of wild statements.
The government’s dangling 8.5 billion out there righ now. So, beware of the various professional research entities that will want their share of dollars because of this “coming” dreadful disease.
The rest of us here just want your mom and your aunt (and, incidentally, you:) to come through this pandemic (or whatever it is) just fine.
Some people on-line appear to be agitated that everyone isnt as concerned about this as they are.
I’m just curious. Do you know about the Flu epidemic of 1918? This one isn’t even close. Do you know how many people died last year from the ordinary flu?
Why? Honestly, I think part of it stems from wanting to say “I told you so.”
I want these articles because there is frequently new information to learn.
Maybe they feel the doomsday scenario like others who feel the doomsday scenario regarding Barr, Durham, Brennan, Comey, etc. Do you know anyone who is constantly drawn to threads about that situation, and can do NOTHING but post doomsday opinions and scenarios?....?
Helps the deep state doc sell interviews and helps whatever foundation he’s running get dough.
Also hurts the market and helps to put Drumph in a bad light.
Panic is good business for some.
My family is 90% prepped to live comfortably for six weeks if a quarantine comes our area. FR articles motivated me to take action starting over a month ago.
How would you like to be living in Northern Italy right now? Do you have supplies laid in? I’m not talking about 100lbs of beef jerky, but everyday things you use and eat in a routine day. If a quarantine hits the experience of obtaining those things will be like living in the Soviet Union with long lines and limited supply.
If this turns into a big nothing burger we’ll use what we have stored this summer.
Yep - some folks aren’t truly happy unless they have something to worry about - they ignore stories like the guy Fox interviewed yesterday - he and his wife looked to be in their late 40s to early 50s and his wife was diagnosed first...he was initially tested as negative and the testing on him was because he was a kidney transplant recipient and therefore at higher risk if sick. His wife had a fever for 4-5 hours and is now asymptomatic and he was later diagnosed positive (retested after wife showed positive) and has had zero symptoms.
It’s likely the majority of cases will be mild enough to be asymptomatic or low symptoms - makes it harder to contain but normal cold/Flu precautions are the best bet - if folks can stop panicking long enough to actually practice them.
The constant hammering (yammering) is one of the reasons that Rahm’s old comment about never letting a crisis go to waste has any value as a strategy.
Many on FR are carrying the Dem’s water for them as The Great Dem Hope Virus goes through its progression.
Stay well, my FRiend.
