If this virus only spreads as much as the flu in a very mild flu year this rate (10%) will completely overrun and break down our medical system. This is what governments fear.

Infectivity and lethality to specifically who? Thus far the CDC and WHO have released numbers and locations but not the race, age or underlying medical conditions of those who actually become infected, seriously ill and die. Limited information leads to panic but not understanding.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
