Rep. Matt Gaetz stood by his move to sport an enormous gas mask to protect himself from coronavirus even during a House floor vote on funding for the public health emergency.
Look, members of Congress are human petri dishes, Gaetz (R-Fla.) told TMZ, We fly through the dirtiest airports, we touch everyone we meet, so if anyones gonna get coronavirus, its totally gonna be Congress.
Walking toward a congressional office building, the Florida Republican offered the outlet more examples of the risks politicians face because of their exposure to constituents.
We shake hands, we kiss babies, we touch everybodys cell phone when we take a little selfie with them so, we should be ready.

Re your photo in Post #2:
Could she be thinking, “Is he coming on to me?”
Nah.
Unfortunately that picture will follow him where ever he goes in politics.
LOL.
But....
What an improvement to have Tlaib, Pelosi, Maxine and many others with faces covered completely! Beautifying DC with one action.
The “it’s just the flu”, “It’s a hoax”, “It’s a plot to destroy Trump” crowd is growing smaller by the day.
Fist Bumps?
“Making a fist” for any reason, while in Church seems a little strange. Oh well. I rarely go to Church anymore anyway.
Usually, around here, when you see fist bumps, it’s followed by somebody yelling: “Go Niners!!”
I think they are idiots. But they have the right to their opinion...If they truly believe what they say then they should be willing to volunteer to help those who have it and those that are quarantined that might have it
But let me guess...THEY WONT for fear of getting it
I would love to know if he did this stunt with the knowledge that a Congressional staffer has it.
This is getting more ridiculous as time goes on. The mask he is wearing looks like a chlorine mask that won’t even start to stop a virus.
It isn’t one used by the military as they don’t use many, if at all, full face masks and place the filter in the front. Another problem is that the carbon filter tube is probably expired and the thing is worthless. Such an idiot.

That will be good news for Hillary’s staff if she gets back in, looks like a defense against urine, farts, and cabbage odors.
[[On Wednesday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who is white, wore a gas mask]]
What T H E Heck? What has being white have to do with anything?
She’s cute.
Agreed...ROTF!
Could she be thinking, “Do I smell that bad?”
“Me too. I liked him before and was actually going to donate to his campaign....now? Forget it”.
You’re not too smart. One issue voter, I think.
you should have oen when in same room as swallwell, thats’ for sure-
Reading the article helps.
The issue for me is surviving the economic and quality of life impact comfortably. No need to go into survival mode if there’s an extended shut down of goods and services if one is prepared.
We can only do so much to avoid catching it. Use common sense about hand sanitation and avoid large crowds.
Anyone who poo poo’s on those ideas is entitled to their opinion but to fault others for being prepared shows denial issues and cognitive dissonance, IMO.
Watch Rudy W. Giulini’s Common Sense on the virus. Came out this wk. He talks how culture has now changed: we will be bowing to each other or doing fist/elbow bumps. He interviews a man named Lhota.
didn’t notice that the link was to a different article altogether-
Typical politician, takes picture of himself being safe while forgetting the staff member next to him.
