A resurgent Joe Biden scored victories from Texas to Massachusetts on Super Tuesday, revitalizing a presidential bid that was teetering on the edge of disaster just days earlier. But his rival, Bernie Sanders, seized the biggest prize with a win in California that ensured he and his embrace of democratic socialism would drive the Democrats nomination fight for the foreseeable future.
The former vice president showed strength in the Northeast with a victory in Massachusetts. He won delegate-rich Texas in the Southwest, Minnesota in the upper Midwest and finished on top across the South in Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas in addition to Oklahoma.
Sanders opened the night as the undisputed Democratic front-runner and was in a position to claim an insurmountable delegate lead. And while he scored the nights biggest delegate-prize in California, he scored just three other decisive victories, winning his home state of Vermont, along with Utah and Colorado.
The other two high-profile candidates still in the shrinking Democratic field, New York billionaire Mike Bloomberg and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, were teetering on the edge of viability. Warren finished in an embarrassing third place in her home state, and Bloomberg planned to reassess his candidacy on Wednesday after spending more than a half billion dollars to score a single victory in American Samoa.
With votes still being counted across the country, The Associated Press has allocated 438 to Biden, 369 delegates to Sanders, 45 to Warren, 39 to Bloomberg and one for Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. The numbers are expected to shift dramatically throughout the night as new states, none bigger than California, report their numbers and as some candidates hover around the 15% vote threshold they must hit to earn delegates.

Biden vs. Trump.
The President knows it too.
Trump shifts his attention to surging Biden, lays off Sanders
I am stunned by the incredibly rapid fall of Bernie Sanders. What did that take for the turnaround......a few days? One minute, he was the nominee, and then, poof.
Was it really Democrat voters who gave him the shove? Or did the corrupt "fixers" strike again? Vote fraud, machine manipulation, and criminal activity are their forte.
Crazy days, folks. Wash your hands often.
There’s been an all out media barrage against Sanders for the last couple of weeks. It looks like the Deep State/DNC pulled out all the stops.
I remember when Joe Biden was debating Paul Ryan. Whenever Ryan would start speaking Biden would smirk and give a dismissive laugh. If he tries that with Trump I hope DJT slaps that smile right off of his face.
Warren’s new PAC is keeping her in the race despite losing her home state by a big margin.
That PAC is funded by the DNC establishment to hurt Sanders. There is zero reason for Warren to stay in except for the millions going to that PAC in order to stop Sanders.
You’re a smart man and the second one to say that here.
I was smart enough to know something was fishy when she was attacking bernie at the debate.
I wasn’t smart enough to see the angle though.
She’s been promised/threatened. Who knows?
But yeah, she’s there to help biden knock out bernie.
Which means, like we always knew, that her “progressive” values don’t mean a DAMN THING to her.
Power and likely $$ do. Like all dems.

Yep. And we will see all that turned against Trump come November. It is going to be a close election, just like the one in 2016.

Biden won that debate, in my opinion. And Biden won not by scoring the most debate points but by dominating Ryan personally. It was actually painful to watch.
Biden will not find Trump to be such a pushover.
I just wonder how many days in advance will Biden get the questions.
She will be happy to keep her Senate seat, get some choice committee assignments and a chairmanship, if the Democrats retake the Senate.
Plus she will get to keep the campaign surplus money. She may want to buy a new teepee.
DNC elders put in "the fix". Again.
“It’s done now.”
People said the same when Bernie won Nevada.
Biden only has a small delegate lead.
lol
Definitely did better than he was expected to only a few days ago.
Biden was not competent on the issues nor was he able to dominate her, so he lost.
I expect much the same or rather more of the same if he debates trump.
Warren knows that this is Bernie’s last campaign and she wants to inherit his supporters.
On the next debate Biden will be alone on stage with Warren, Bernie and mini. Things might get ugly for him.
Plus the political momentum, the entire Mockingbird media propaganda arm, and the DNC corrupt machine on his side.
It's over. Biden is the nominee.
NY state will decide it. Bernie appears to be polling well there. If Bernie takes NY state and Illinois...then it’s going to be a fight to the finish.
The removal of Buttigieg, Klobuchar and Steyer handed Biden at least 10 points in every contest. That was the major difference. However they pulled it off, it was fair game and a smart move by the DNC.
Bernie had the momentum but lost it when they beat him up on the SC debate.
Biden was lucky that there were no debates between his win in SC and Super Tuesday. Nobody has attacked him in months because they thought he was dead. The squad will go after him now.
