I think that’s basically what happened with Trump in 2016. He won the west coast states, New England, Illinois and the “blue” mid-Atlantic states.

Trump won most the South both coasts and most the Midwest

Cruz won the west except the coast. Rubio Won Mn, LA was a tie and Kaisch won Oh

If Biden does well in traditional Repub States, that is troubling, especially if they are turning Purple. I would rather have Sanders pulling well in those States. Plenty of centrist/"never Trumpers" play a perverted role unfortunately.

Never ever take politics/elections for granted, plenty do and become complacent losers for a cycle or two or three...
