Turns out he provided the answer before I was able to post my question. He says the Daily Mail is the source, but I haven’t read the article to see who the Daily Mail is attributing these claims too, or of they even attribute the claims to anyone. So I still don’t know who? Was it WHO? 8>)

Reading the story it appears the source is researchers from Nankai University in Tianjin, northern China.

So are they to be believed? So much disinformation coming from China makes it impossible to tell.
