The coronavirus could be up to 1,000 times more infectious than SARS because it plagues the body in the same way as HIV and Ebola, scientists warn.

The rumor is the Chinese stole it from Canada. From there it was brought to their bioweapons lab and escaped. They even advertised for a scientist with expertise with SARS and bats.

Turns out he provided the answer before I was able to post my question. He says the Daily Mail is the source, but I haven’t read the article to see who the Daily Mail is attributing these claims too, or of they even attribute the claims to anyone. So I still don’t know who? Was it WHO? 8>)

Was involved in Bio warfare in the Military for many years. It was not considered a weapon of death, but a Psychological Operation designed to induce fear and chaos into the enemy and destroy their will to fight. A truly lethal agent was considered to hard to control, too much collateral damage or death to friendly personnel. Did not fully understand how accurate that was until this week. Does anyone know if those hand sanitizers work on these viruses? I’m getting differing opinions. I figure they will be sold out soon like the face masks. The shelf at a local pharmacy was already empty but I was able to get some at grocery store. Cheaper too. THanks.

Adjust the scales to line up the first cases reported in China and in South Korea.

It means that China instituted very harsh quarantines, shut down factories, schools and other large venues, warehoused and locked victims in concentrated locations, locked sick people in their apartments and blocked people from getting in and out of cities. And it's still growing there.
