“Socialism has failed everywhere it’s ever been tried,” Haley said. “Instead of prosperity, it leads to poverty.”
“Instead of opportunity, it creates dependency. Instead of liberty, it means oppression at home and often means aggression abroad instead of hope for a better tomorrow,” she said.
She pointed out that though countries around the world suffer from socialism, “socialism has become trendy in parts of America these days,” drawing on Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’s affinity for socialism.
“It’s in Congress, where an up and coming congresswoman says, ‘Capitalism is irredeemable,'” Haley said, referring to a comment made by Ocasio-Cortez. “It’s at the highest levels of society and politics right now.”

I was saddened how easily they came down.

Where are these legions of people capitalism has allegedly “failed?” Who are they, and is their condition the fault of capitalism or does the blame lie closer to home?

We are in a political fight with just-shy-of-open Communists, a contest that illustrates with emphasis the total uselessness of the public school system and the Great Universities insofar as education is concerned.
They will blame the horse, not the jockey...

She doesn’t want a communist but a globalist to rule us.
The fight we must win is against Bush League Republicans like Haley who want to give amnesty to illegal aliens and a permanent majority of socialist voters to Democrats.
It’s also trendy to believe that the children of foreign nationals are natural born citizens.
Obviously the catastrophic Kenyanesian Usurpation was not enough to wake people up that the founders were absolutely correct to exclude everyone who has more than ONE nationality.

Perhaps those would be U.S. workers who lose their jobs to immigrants or the factory workers whose job are lost when shareholder value is maximized by moving a plant overseas.
