And pay back wages plus interest and damages.
Liquidate the wealth of the C-level suites.
There is no business case in existence for paying a failed CEO a $20 million severance package, or for paying departing CEO a pension of $2 million /year for life.
Great comment!
3.5 MILLION? I have never seen such a number published anywhere. Where does this number come from?
My youngest son is a double major in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering in his senior year and is in his last quarter also studying for the Fundamentals of Engineering exam as a prerequisite to obtaining a PE and, is being bombarded with job offers from across the country.
He hasn’t yet graduated and he’s overwhelmed with job offers. How is it possible 3.5 MILLION STEM grads can’t find a job?
The Basic of free markets is supply and demand.
The price of labor is subject to supply and demand like anything else.
They don’t understand it because its not in their interest to understand it.
Many American students wont take stem classes now because they see that many supposedly American corporations ( such as in Silly Con Valley) are importing cheap and controlled workers from Communist China and other foreign countries. A longstanding problem that shows no sign of being solved as long as the h1 b visa program is permitted to continue
I’ve used the example of Bill gates whining that American kids won’t go to school for computers anymore - while out of the other side of his mouth he threatens to move jobs to Vancouver because Canada would let him import coolie scabs from Asia.
Meanwhile, the price of everything keeps going up.
“Maybe the only short-term fix is to increase legal immigrationunless Americans want to see their living standards decline and more jobs exported, the editorial concluded.”
Yeah, flooding the country with an even larger mass of low wage third-worlders is sure to keep my living standards from declining.
Take your globalist, open-borders propaganda and shove it, WSJ.
The globalist Free Traitors really think we're all idiots.
I believe it's from the Center for Immigration Studies (cis.org); I'll see if I can dig up the specific page.
He hasnt yet graduated and hes overwhelmed with job offers. How is it possible 3.5 MILLION STEM grads cant find a job?
He's being offered entry level jobs at an entry level salary; the 3.5 million are not entry level.
“The findings in this analysis are consistent with other examinations of the STEM labor market. We find no evidence of a general shortage of STEM workers. In 2012, there were more than twice as many people with STEM degrees (immigrant and native) as there were STEM jobs 5.3 million STEM jobs vs. 12.1 million with STEM degrees. Only one-third of natives who have a STEM degree and hold a job do so in a STEM occupation. Further, one-third of STEM workers do not have a STEM degree, indicating that the supply of STEM workers in many cases is very flexible. Perhaps most important, real wages for almost all categories of STEM workers have shown only modest growth both hourly and annual for more than a decade. None of this is consistent with the idea that STEM workers are in short supply.” - https://cis.org/There-STEM-Worker-Shortage
Locals will work for reasonable pay. I work for a nationwide lodging company and our wages will have gone up on average of 20% from 2017>2020. Keep raising pay bands till you get bites
LOL What POS you are. Labor is cheap in 2020. It's just degrees of cheapness.
Yeah befor globalism took over. FR is geezing again.
Fixed it. No charge.
There is no labor shortage only a wage shortage.
Fixed it.
Man, I like that.
