Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney told a crowd at a private gathering in England on Wednesday night that the Trump administration needs more immigrants...
...
We are desperate desperate for more people, Mulvaney said. We are running out of people to fuel the economic growth that weve had in our nation over the last four years. We need more immigrants. [In a recording shared with Washington Post]
...
Mulvaneys remarks appear in contrast to the public position of several top figures in Trumps White House especially that of senior policy adviser Stephen Miller who have been working to slash legal and illegal immigration through a slew of policies that aim to close off the U.S. border to foreigners. They have insisted that the steady arrival of newcomers depresses wages for the blue-collar U.S. workers whose votes helped lift Trump to the presidency in 2016.
During a visit to the border last year amid a record surge of Central American families and children crossing into the United States, the president said the country could not absorb more newcomers.
Our country is full, Trump said. Cant take you anymore . . . so turn around.
Mulvaneys private remarks were more in line with conventional GOP views of immigration...

Remember that Mulvaney was a South Carolina Congressman.
South Carolina only elects Cheap Labor Express stooges.
See Flimsey Grahamnesty as an example.
Round him up, move him out.
Mulvaney sucks.
Mick Mulvaney is a cheap labor express stooge and definitely not MAGA - Trump is just surrounded by horrible people.

Those are still the views of a majority of elected GOP.
Only Trump and a few in Congress side with the citizens and the rule of law.
Most of them want amnesty and open borders.
Must speak English, have a graduate degree, be able to make at least $100K a year, and only compete with lifelong Democrats for professional jobs!
We are desperate for employees who can do simple math, have no criminal record of violence or theft, and show up to work on time.
Please stop all this cheap foreign labor krap and hire Americans first. If there really are any special situations where a qualified USA applicant isnt available then we can talk. Im not against legal immigrants I just want them to stop being given our jobs. Right now, there are still lots of our own people
People who talk like this do not have to drive in rush hour traffic.
“We are desperate for employees who can do simple math, have no criminal record of violence or theft, and show up to work on time.”
All of which are abundantly available in US. Trouble is, they don’t want to work for Third World wages. Mulvaney meant to say, “we’re desperate for Third World immigrants who big business can pay dirt-cheap salaries”
And you're gonna get such employees from a bunch of immigrants? Anyone speak to a tech rep on the phone lately? Marbles in mouth. Probably do wonders for productivity.
That's easy. More highly qualified immigrants for university professor jobs, the media jobs etc. Let's see how they like it when their wages are driven down.
Meanwhile, I wouldn't believe any anonymous sourced garbage from the WaPo.
I wonder if this guy ever heard of the business cycle? What goes up must come down. Which means unemployment among his new immigrants will skyrocket and with it the costs of unemployment, welfare, etc.
How many “workers” have been aborted??
He said legal, and also the economy is booming. And what’s the statistical minimum for unemployment?
And then maybe he’s pandering, and indirectly promoting the RINO agenda.
Trump supports legal immigration.
Yeah, we need some. desperately.
How mnay is the question.
