Media Trying to Create Trump-Barr Tension with Fake News Claiming AG Mulling Resignation

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) vehemently denied fake news mainstream media reports claiming Attorney General (AG) William Barr is considering quitting his position over the president’s tweeting habits.

Several left-leaning news outlets, including the Washington Post and the Associated Press (AP), are trying to push the notion that there are irreconcilable differences between U.S. President Donald Trump and Barr.

DOJ, however, pushed against those allegations with Kerry Kupec, a top spokeswoman at the department, writing on Twitter Wednesday, “Addressing Beltway rumors: The Attorney General has no plans to resign.”

Kupec’s tweet came after the Washington Post, citing unnamed Trump administration officials, reported Tuesday that Barr “told people close to President Trump — both inside and outside the White House — that he is considering quitting over Trump’s tweets about Justice Department investigations.”

“He has his limits,” one of the anonymous Trump officials allegedly told the Post.

Barr “has told people close to him he’s considering quitting his post after President Donald Trump wouldn’t heed his warning to stop tweeting about Justice Department cases,” AP claimed to have learned from an anonymous Trump official.

The AG has urged the president to stop commenting publicly about ongoing cases.

In an interview with ABC News published on February 13, Barr did warn President Trump that his tweets about ongoing DOJ cases “make it impossible for me to do my job.”

Barr’s warning fell on deaf ears, and the president has continued to comment on ongoing federal cases via Twitter.

DOJ, however, stressed that Barr is not mulling leaving his post.

Furthermore, Trump praised Barr and conceded that his tweets are making it difficult for the AG to do his job, but he maintained that he...

I guess that’s why he’s not doing his job.
Tweets make it impossible.

I still do not get how “Tno plans to resign.” is a vehement denial of allegedly telling someone has been thinking about walking. You can think about something, or tell someone you are thinking about something, but not have a plan.

“The attorney general is a man with incredible integrity,” Trump added.

If Barr doesn’t lock up FBI and DOJ criminals I regret to say that my main man DJT will have his otherwise sterling presidential record blemished in history books written decades from now.

Like a broken clock thats right twice a day, the MSM has this one right.

Its time for Barr to go and for Rudy Giuliani to take that seat as AG

The President has been wronged, and by the holy blazes, the time for slow walking the apprehension of these DOJ/FBI culprits is over. Barrs professional colleagues want these apprehended leftists to be chosen rather than accused for their criminal conduct, its a form of damage control.

President Trump needs no damage control, he wants employees of the executive branch who do their duty exclusive of politics and ideology. Every president deserves that and it would seem that the
Justice Department keeps putting off the inevitable disorder which these apprehensions will cause. WHO CARES? These treasonous bastards tried to take down a duly elected President, and they must pay the price for their criminal activity and conspiracies to use the FBI and the DOJ as some kind of Communist style Politburo.

They can start by firing a whole slew of Obama appointees just so they can actually do the work they should be doing instead of making the Presidents tenure one of being obstructed.

Who cares if its disorderly, non collegian and unattractive. The People could care less, they want the President to be empowered to do his work instead of being obstructed by these vicious autocrats, of whom Barr is clearly one.Barr let McCabe off because he likely threatened to take a few collegian fellows with him which would have been too much for the decorum of these jerks who run Justice. In other words rather than letting the chips fall where they may, Barr blinked, and the President knows it.

This is why Barr has started whining about the president’s tweets, because they are very effective at pointing out Barr’s mistakes.Barr can not hide the unfairness of allowing the continuing prosecutions of men whose cases were predicated on a departmental conspiracy to usurp a duly elected President of the United States. If Barr does not stop this extenuated witch hunt, then the President is duty bound to find an AG who will.
None of that should be “ho hum” as Barr is falsely letting on.

The media isn’t creating the appearance of tension between Trump and Barr. Trump and Barr are.
Whether there is any real tension between them only they know.

Just the media whipping (i.e. embellishing to the point of er...purposeful lack of candor) that pony to make it rideable.

Barr sucks. I tried to keep an open mind but he just drags things along. Clearly not in control at DOJ or is and doesn’t care.

Come on Trump - GET TOUGHER!

Trump is not unaware of what the media will do with what he says. Nor is Barr.

Have to agree.

Trump alsoade the mistake of trusting and giving Barr aithority of declassifying a illegal “Deep State” conspiracy docs, which Barr is holding up.

Now, if the President wanted to open it all up, he would literally be acting against his own AG.

And this is on top of Barr obfuscating an denying recourse of justice for the integrity of our Constitution.

There is a lot you can blame the media for.

Barr and his Dept of Injustice are the problem here.

Agree. In addition, the media is capable of embellishing and even making stuff up, and there is ample evidence of such, whether or not in this case I have no idea.

I don’t think Trump gave away any authority of his own to declass when he gave Barr permission to do so. Trump can declass any time he wants to.

I have no doubts at all that the media makes things up. None.
That was my point, Trump is well aware of that and knows
exactly how they will distort his words and actions.

You are really hitting my point.

If Trump were to declass docs (which he can do), at this point, because he also gave the authority to Barr, he would really be going around or against Barr, who has not already done so.

Trump promised to declass critically important “Deep State” COUP related documents, but then gave and defaulted publically to Barr.

Like former AG’s, Barr’s DOJ has been dragging its feet in honoring long standing, non-classified, lawful FOIA filings as well.

Almost have to forget FOIA. Organizatuons like Judicial Watch are having to literally sue Barrs DOJ to get lawful, unclassified, documents (which are often largely redacted). Then sue again, to get non-redacted, and have even run into DOJ outright court defiance, or semi-defiance of courts orders.

There is just no way around it. The DOJ (even under Barr), beside lawful FOIA request, has even defied Congressional request and orders.

Even worse, in doing so, the DOJ has pretty much now demostrated they have almost no legal controlling authority.
