Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg responded Sunday to comments from conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh about him kissing his spouse, saying he wont take advice from Mr. Limbaugh on family values.
The small-town mayor who shot to the top of the 2020 Democratic field joined CNNs State of the Union Sunday, pushing back against the comments that drew criticism last week from both sides of the aisle.
I love my husband. Im faithful to my husband, Mr. Buttigieg said. Im not going to take lectures on family values from the likes of Rush Limbaugh.
On Wednesday, Mr. Limbaugh characterized on his radio show how Democratic voters might be thinking, suggesting they may not believe a gay man can be elected president.
Theyre saying, OK, hows this going to look? Mr. Limbaugh said. Thirty-seven-year-old gay guy kissing his husband on stage, next to Mr. Man, Donald Trump.
Despite all the great wokeness and despite all the great ground thats been covered, that Americas still not ready to elect a gay guy kissing his husband on the debate stage president, he added.
Mr. Limbaugh received the Medal of Freedom from the president earlier this month at the State of the Union.
The president was asked if he thought the country would select a gay man as president in an interview with Geraldo Rivera, according to the Associated Press.
I think so, the president said.
I think there would be some that wouldnt. I wouldnt be among that group, to be honest with you. Mr. Trump said.
Mr. Buttigieg finished first in the Iowa caucuses, neck and neck with Sen. Bernie Sanders, Vermont Independent, who took first in New Hampshire.
Some critics of Mr. Buttigieg have questioned whether he can remain at the top of the polls later this month when South...

Limbaugh talks about politics. Politics involves the perceptions of millions of voters. What does Buttigieg expect people to do? NOT noticed the elephant in the room? He is just another Stalinist who wants to control how we think.
Gay stuff is not popular no matter how hard they try to astroturf it. People are sick of it, even among the “Pro-gay” Millennial and Generation Z there’s been double digit swings against the homosexual agenda in less than 5 years.
Buttplug Pete has more experience kissing a guy than working in government.
This would actually be a good question for me.
Would I vote for a homo?
I’d vote for basically every other group, because most of them are NOT about behavior.
I like it when a homo is pro-conservative, but not sure I could vote for one - it would be violating my principle of “they should not be advertising this in public as sexual issues are INAPPROPRIATE” - which being a politician naturally comes up these days.
Peter... huh-huh huh-huh...
Booty Judge... heh-heh heh-heh...
South Bend... huh-huh huh-huh...
psst... Buttigeig... you don’t have family values. A lack of values is not a value...

I think Boodie is trying to get his name in the news because no one knows who the heck he is.
Butt-Gig.
He has one with his “husband” “Chasten”.
He SHOULD be chastened.
If Pete is elected, it WILL signal the end of the nation. God will take care of it. The appalling thing is that he is even a candidate.
Implying that Rush Limbaugh is unsavory ...
Whoever the man is in that relationship guarantees a first lady with balls and a beard. The fact that a man want to have a relationship with a man is tantamount to serious mental problems.
The red diaper baby took Limbaughs bait.
Hes not presidential material.
Few ever mention that states around the country went through a process of passing propositions to declare for only one man one woman marriages. Not easy but they passed these.
All over the country people (including Obama) said they agreed that was the definition.
Then by a ONE VOTE margin in the Supreme Court, that was overruled.
Then somewhow the next day the media blasted it 24/7 that we ALL agree that “homophobia” is wrong and should be punished and we “all” support gay marriage, children’s sex change and gay rights and have all along. Really?
Except for creepy Christians, observant Jews, conservatives and various other Deplorables who must be punished (as the bakers run out of business by lawsuits if they could.) Not at all “live and let live.” Usual Dem “our side only is acceptable—yours will be extinct.”
For me the answer would be 'NO'. Any homosexual who is as "in your face" as Buttigieg would never get my vote. If a homosexual was conservative, and said (and meant) that he/she "is gay, but does not believe in gay marriage, and does not believe children should be indoctrinated into homosexuality, and does not believe Christians should be forced to violate their beliefs by being forced to makes cakes for gay events, etc", then, sure I would vote for him/her.
I have actually known a few like that. They were comfortable in their own skin and did not crave society's approval and did not demand it. They felt that the militant homosexuals were making people more resentful of gays rather than more approving. People like Buttigieg are self-loathing narcissists and it drives them up the wall that some people consider their lifestyle abhorrent. No one who is that mentally unstable should be president.
HOMOSEXUAL, because there’s nothing GAY about it.
