Virginia Close on Gun Ban and Confiscation, Senate may Stop Bill
The Virginia bill to ban “assault weapons”, HB 961, is highly controversial. It is one of the items credited with bringing over 22,000 Second Amendment supporters to the Virginia Capitol to lobby their legislators. 91 of 95 counties in Virginia have passed Second Amendment sanctuary resolutions, saying they will not comply with such legislation.
The Virginia legislature, with a new Democrat party majority in the House of Representatives (55-45) and the Senate (21-19) and a Democrat Governor, has been energized to pass bills long considered to be outside acceptable limits.
The Democrats passed their revised “assault weapons” ban on 11 February 2020, by a narrow majority, (51-48) in the House. Several Democrats joined all Republicans in voting against the bill.
The bill combines numerous evolving definitions of “assault weapons”. It includes many of the most popular semi-automatic centerfire rifles, large numbers of semi-automatic centerfire pistols, and many shotguns. It bans “trigger activators” which appear to be bump stocks. It appears to grandfather silencers legally owned prior to the enactment of the bill. Here is the summary of the bill. From HB 961:

Criminal leftists want to disarm you or better yet, make you into a criminal over night. Either end state works for them since you are either disarmed or then they can use your “criminality” to send their state police force to “accidentally” murder you when the state police force break into your house at 4am and accidentally pull the trigger on their fully automatic weapons that indiscriminately spray bullets and murder you and your children.
It also allows the criminal, leftist democrats to then say how they were trying to “protect” society from you and that it was sad that your 9 year old daughter was “caught” in the cross fire.
I expect I will meet my end by a criminal in a state or federal uniform who murders me.

It’s a sad day when we have to depend on luck to keep our rights. This could get real ugly, real fast. Democrats have been projecting what they want onto President Trump- tyrant, dictator, mass murderer, etc.
Sadly, Virginia gets the government they elected.

Sadly, the unconstitutional and confiscatory intent on display by Democratic Party Leftists in Virginia, is a harbinger of their goals for ALL of America. They’re tyrants. Democrats are smugly sure of their own superiority and have no doubts about coercing those who differ from them. Today’s Left is precisely the type of movement that makes it imperative for the citizenry to remain armed.
Make no Mistake - Bloomberg and his cronies have bought and paid for the Virginia legislature. Just like his $100 million bought a Democrat House in the Midterms and paid for the Impeachment.
They want to take guns from non-violent citizens while leaving them in the hands of violent criminals. Deliberately and intentionally.
More proof that these so called ‘anti-gun’ law makers have no problem with guns. Their issue is that you can have them too. This is the very reason the 2nd A was conceived. They seem unaware our government is based on the idea of consent of the governed. We the People can withdraw that consent at any time. That is happening in the 2A sanctuary city movement, consent is being withdrawn. Will the govt see this as a need to work with their constituents or a red line to send in the armed storm troopers and rule by force of arms?
Virginia may have better luck to change their voting patterns to align with the rest of the country.
Voting in off years pretty much assures a huge Democrat/union turnout and a lower turnout among conservatives.
Sure they know history and the outcome. From Russia to Germany in 1939 on down they know exactly how to control the rabble.
Scores of House “Republicans” not running for re-election in 2018 plus ballot harvesting in California also played a major role in a RAT victory. Plus too many idiots believing the Mueller so-called “investigation” headed by a large number of angry Hillary operatives.
Elections, even fraudulent ones, have consequences. Virginia is a warning to the nation as to what can happen if the Democrats win in November.

Looks like Virginia will have to split in two, Virginia and Virginia Light, then split their two senators.

Exactly! This does not just affect Virginia, it is the way the left operates. Their tyrannical objectives start in one or two places in the country and if successful, it gives the green light to all others of their ilk to do the same everywhere in the US.

The UN has future plans for breaking up the USA into 5 administrative states. Thus a split of Kalifornia or a Virginia is a step in the progression and is laying the framework for the UN to ease tensions.
