U.S. Attorney John Durham, tasked to look into the origins of the FBIs Crossfire Hurricane investigation, is now investigating CIA resistance to sharing Russian secrets, according to a Feb. 13 report in The New York Times.
According to the article, Durham appears to be pursuing a theory that the C.I.A., under its former Director John O. Brennan, had a preconceived notion about Russia or was trying to get to a particular resultand was nefariously trying to keep other agencies from seeing the full picture lest they interfere with that goal.
Additionally, Durham is reportedly looking into whether and how information from foreign governments or the C.I.A. played any role in stoking suspicions at the F.B.I. about Trump campaign links to Russia.
It had previously been reported that Durham was expected to seek an interview with Brennan as well as former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, following an expansion of his investigation.

That was strange - this was in paragraphs and it posted as a block of death. Attempt 2
I have said from the beginning of this that I thought Brennan was the one who orchestrated many of the events and he played the FBI for patsies. Comey was like a little puppy with Brennan and spoke glowingly about him. The FBI agents in the Horowitz report all said they “could not believe how lucky they were to find who amazingly knew all of their targets (gee, I wonder who lined that up?).
They got played.... the elite folks on the top floor of HQ in DC got to play international spy and Brennan fed the sources and spun the stories for them like I throw chicken nuggets to my German Shepherd. The circular reporting model has always been a CIA trick when they want to influence a foreign country. They feed the same leak on two separate tracks and all of a sudden it is more believable. They are masters of the whisper campaign.
Brennan had the stroke with our five-eye partners to pull this off. Comey still seems oblivious about all of this. Well the Australians told us X (no, Brennan asked them to tell you that). The Italians told us Y (no, Brennan called in a favor and gave them a script). The head of British intelligence appears to have been fully on board and he likely nudged here and whispered there.
Comey and the gang that couldn’t shoot straight lapped all of this up thinking they were James Bond and now they look like Mr. Bean. They were receptive to all of it and truly believed they were saving civilization when they all, and I mean all, got completely played by Brennan.
If this is true, there are probably not going to be a huge number of trials prosecuting people because many of the guilty already have signed plea deals in return for testimony against higher ups and bigger players. These plea agreements may already have jail time, loss job/retirement, and fines
Makes sense as the government paper trail and number of people involved, especially LEOs, pretty much makes things open and shut for the guilty. And LEOs don't like to get put in prison, especially after the Mueller persecutors and Democrats have set the standards for punishment. It Rodger Stone gets guns drawn no knock FBI SWAT raid and 7-9 years, what do guys like Comey and Strozk deserve? This crap may just come back to haunt the bad guys
Probably going to see a only a much smaller number of the truly high ups actually go to trial like Comey, McCabe, Brennan and members of White House and high level outsiders. Maybe Strozk because he would have to give some explosive stuff to skate with a plea.
As Devin Nunes said, they are going to start peeling the onion on disclosing the facts of this case, which is a pretty significant term to use
This would explain the pace and timing of things - no rush for Barr and Durham to rush prosecute when so many already have plead guilty and flipped with pleas ratting each other out.
Have not heard much from Clapper lately . Clapper us a special case. He is the weakest link in the conspiracy . Think he turned and ratted out much higher level players. This is the reason we are hearing names of hidden hands like Hayden and Woolsey being exposed recently
The Brennan CIA is likely going to be a focus point because the FBI corruption primarily seems to be higher level key player whereas the CIA corruption seems to be pervasive and endemic.
The upcoming Jessie Liu/Mueller revelations may allow Barr to justify a change of venue for any prosecutions out of Washington
No leaks out of the Huber investigation either. Tells me nothing.
Hey Durham...THEY DID....NOW ARREST!
bbb
Just like the FBI hid exculpatory evidence from the FISA court, the FBI was manipulating the intelligence so others could not see the web of lies known as the Russia Collusion Hoax

Actually, unlike the Democrats, we do things based upon the law and follow legal process. In other words, an actual investigation producing evidence, not the Dems fantasy witch-hunt.
It takes longer, but then you really have a case.
Got you by 15 years and I also want to see it - but I want them to get it absolutely perfect before presenting it - one small “oops” and the whole thing dies when dealing with such entrenched entities.
Reminds me of that Huber guy out in Utah, the one that Sessions appointed. Everyone was waiting for months and nothing happened.
I’m constantly reminded on this site of all those police shows on TV where the Mayor and the Commissioner are screaming at the cops to “Get results NOW, Damnit!”, while the good detective is busy making sure he can get the RIGHT person, and all the right people, in a way that will actually stick in court. Not as simple as we’d like it to be; as for me, I’m trusting Durham to get it done so it stays done.
Unfortunately, I am starting to believe such as well... the crimes are obvious... so the lack of action on any front is not making me optimistic that real justice will be served.
Yeah your statement was good 2 years ago :)
And actually not even then.
Come on man mueller arrested people in WEEKS.
Let’s stop being naive.
No one’s going down.
I didn’t even know about that one.
There’s such a long list.
And some here still believe we “need to put together a solid case here”
Good grief.
Come on man you’re the 3rd person so far to say that
It’s been YEARS and YEARS!
“oh no but this is a new one and the case just started being built”
NO it’s not. It’s the same old people and the same old crime and excuse me but SCREW the rule of law.
Because if we keep taking the “HIGH ROAD” there won’t be any damn road left for us to walk on.
Sick of polite, make sure every step is within the law, our side is better than that conservatives, to be honest
Mueller (Weissman) was faster, because 1) he started with a developed structure and identified targets, and 2) he cheated by abusing the system and his targets.
Cases take longer if you dawdle, but they also take longer if you try to root out the entire corruption, and not just the obvious little fish.
Just recall who wasn't outraged by it and yo know all you need too,
