That may be the case. However, nobody deserves to be targeted and prosecuted by among others Obama’s deputy White House Counsel simply for supporting POTUS.
To the every lasting shame of the GOP they have given top cover to Mueller and his Dirty Democrats. Stone was referred for prosecution by the GOP controlled SSCI, too!

If you are not smart enough to realize that letting this targeted political prosecution stand will mean that the Deep State will target with impunity any advisor and political ally of POTUS then shame on you.
Doesn’t mean he should have had the 25-man swat team at his house at 6 am or should be prosecuted for anything, let alone tossed in the slammer for 9 years.

He’s a weirdo, for sure, but does he deserve this? For me, being falsely accused or unfairly punished is worse than just about anything. This double standard has got to stop!
Whether Stone is an Asshole, or not, he committed no crimes. Lying to Congress, if he did, no one ever gets prosecuted for it unless you are associated with Trump.
Stone was/is a starry-eyed fool but he doesn’t deserve a sentence 3 times as long as armed robbery or rape would get an actual sleazeball.
