A federal judge on Monday indefinitely postponed the sentencing date for President Trumps former national security adviser Michael Flynn on charges of lying to the FBI in the Russia investigation.
The move by Judge Emmet Sullivan comes a day after federal prosecutors filed a rare Sunday motion to delay a number of approaching deadlines that would ultimately make Flynns Feb. 27 sentencing unlikely. The delay also comes weeks after Flynn withdrew his guilty plea.
In their filing, prosecutors argued that Flynns former attorneys should testify after he claimed to have received ineffective assistance from them. Flynn had previously hired the premier D.C. law firm, Covington & Burling. Federal lawyers also asked the judge to order that Flynn has his attorney-client privileges in his communications with Covington & Burling waived.

No Constitutional Rights for you, comrade.
Im hoping that Trump will give him a full pardon after the election.
is that not an admission that the conviction is bogus?
They are figuring out that the BS is about to end and people are going to be held to account
“Who’s on first?”
Nobody knows!
Me too.
BREAKING: Judge Cancels General Flynns Sentencing Until Further Notice!
Federal Judge Emmet Sullivan on Monday canceled General Flynns sentencing scheduled for February 27 until further order of the court.General Flynn formally asked to withdraw his guilty plea last month and accused federal prosecutors of egregious government misconduct.
Federal prosecutors then backed down and offered Flynn probation after asking for up to six months prison time.
Flynns lawyers are still working through withdrawing Flynns guilty plea because the government asked for an extension to consider Flynns motion to withdraw his plea.
Flynns lawyer Sidney Powell opposed the extension and argued, The Department of Justice should agree to the withdrawal of the plea. Accordingly we oppose any further extension of the briefing schedule.
So Judge Sullivan indefinitely postponed Flynns sentencing hearing.
Sounds like Flynn wanted this, so his ineffective counsel from them could be exposed
Whats so damn hard for the CURRENT DOJ lawyers to simply admit multiple injustices were done to Flynn and that not only should his current PERSecution be dismissed/ceased but that the man & his family be made financially whole.
Department of Justice, WHERE IS THEJUSTICE!
That seems likely. It would also be humane to pardon or commute the sentence of Paul Manafort who was been treated like an animal
Federal lawyers....
And who do these “lawyers” work for? Do I hear bagpipes?
How much taxpayer money, time etc, are these scumbags going to waste to get what looks like a probation sentence?
If they did so, they would be admitting that they committed serious ethical violations and would be subject to disbarment. They would not admit it even if they had a gun to their heads.
Based on recent FISA court ruling, I believe the DOJ lawyers hope that the whole Flynn prosecution is declared “fruit from a poison tree” and the case dismissed. The DOJ will state that now don’t have to provide any more information to the defense as it would be moot.
And, yes, if he hadn't worked for Trump he would have gotten away with it.
But I'm still not sure Trump should pardon him. Maybe commute - he's been punished enough for a simple white collar crime.
I find the Roger Stone persecution infinitely more troubling. OK, yes, he lied to Congress. So did {insert long list of Democrats, Deep State Operatives, Obama era admin figures, etc HERE} ... and none of them got prosecuted.
Roger Stone still on track to be sentenced Feb. 20
Ego and Pride. Meanwhile Flynn has been ruined financially and I think his marriage is gone too.
“Sounds like Flynn wanted this, so his ineffective counsel from them could be exposed”
I agree. Sounds like his first counsel worked for the deep state instead of Flynn.
