Sen. Bernie Sanders made quite the claim about racism in America during the Democratic debate Friday night in New Hampshire.
“We have a racist society from top to bottom impacting healthcare, housing, criminal justice, education, you name it,” he said. “And clearly this is an issue that must be dealt with.”

Good point, and you should write to the GOP and tell them to hammer this point home. My kids are grown, but do visit the downtown area for dinner out, events, etc. One of their friends was wounded during a robbery downtown and my kids no longer go there unless its with a group of 4 or more. As I said before, their fears are learned behavior and blacks have a long road ahead to fix it. Passing laws making discrimination illegal is sorta like a No Peeing sign in a public swimming pool...nice idea, but not effective.

I don’t think white suburban moms fear being murdered by black men in their 20s. What they fear most is their children being murdered at school by a school shooter—often white.

Suburban moms moved to the suburbs to take their kids out of the crime areas. But don’t they worry about anything else besides school shootings? Like their kids being taught they can choose their gender, kids being propagandized to hate their country and favor socialism, kids not getting into the college of their choice due to being white, the economy, etc.?

My mother-in-law has 10 white grandchildren. She’s voted Dem all her life (was even SDS in the 60s!) but voted for Trump. Her first vote for the GOP. And it was for the above reason (she told me).
Yes white suburban moms worry about the other things you mention, but none of those worries are FEAR. Often women vote based on what they actually fear, not just worry about (so I’ve read). And I can tell you (from what I hear and see from other educated white suburban moms around me and on social media) they don’t fear propaganda or economic change as much as they fear school shootings.
If Bernie does win the nomination, look for him to select Kamala Harris as his running mate, allowing him to check off two boxes at the same time.
