The White House is weighing a plan to dismiss Alexander Vindman from the National Security Council after he testified in President Donald Trump’s impeachment inquiry, preparing to position the move as part of a broader effort to shrink the foreign policy bureaucracy, two people familiar with the matter said.
The White House intends to portray any house-cleaning as part of a downsizing of the NSC staff, not retaliation, according to the people.
Some of the officials being targeted for removal from the NSC would be reassigned because they’re perceived as being disloyal to the president, three people familiar with the matter said on condition of anonymity owing to the sensitivity of personnel moves.

Just go back and review the questions he was asked and how he answered.
Those questions he was asked were not random - they were carefully chosen to exonerate the President, expose the conspiracy and lay the foundation for a potential prosecution or courts martial proceeding against Vindman himself. He will regret the day he choose to wear his uniform to testify I predict. Big mistake.

I wanted Trump to walk a few blocks down Pennsylvania Ave one day to have lunch at his hotel. From there, the IRS, FBI, and Justice Department are nearby. He could walk in to each one, go to the top 100 managers’ offices and issue old-fashioned pink slips. Everyone else would have to reapply for their jobs and be screened as if a new employee.
The media will portray it as retaliation no matter what the stated reason. What are we supposed to do? Give every leaker a desk in the corner to read the NY Times until he/she reaches retirement?
They should just call it what it is. The guy is a leaker who can't be trusted any longer with classified information. He's gone.
He should be court-martialed for conduct unbecoming of an officer and bringing disgrace and shame on the service, and riffed with no pension.
This guy is a payroll patriot. Take away his pension and his security clearance so he doesn’t get a gig with some Democrat politician.
