Trump says he 'doesn't like people who use their faith as a justification' as he tears into Mitt Romney and fellow guest Nancy Pelosi at the National Prayer Breakfast after triumphantly waving impeachment acquittal headlines

Donald Trump slammed Nancy Pelosi and Mitt Romney for using their faith to justify their actions in the impeachment trial and inquiry during his remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday morning.

He did not mention the two by name but his meaning was clear.

'I don't like people who use their faith as justification for doing what they know is wrong. Nor do I like people who say I pray for you when they know that's not so. So many people have been hurt, and we can't let that go on. I will be discussing that a little bit later at the White House,' he said.

Romney was the lone Republican to find Trump guilty on one article of impeachment: abuse of power. He said in his remarks on the Senate floor Wednesday that it was his faith – Romney is a devout Mormon – that led him to that decision.

Pelosi, a devout Catholic, has repeatedly said she prays for the president. She was seated at the head table during Trump's remarks and shook her head at one point during them. She pursed her lips a few times as he spoke. The speaker launched the impeachment inquiry into the president in September.

The president admitted he was having trouble post-impeachment.

''We are grateful to the people of this room for the lovely show to religion, not one religion, but many religions. They are brave, they are brilliant, they are fighters, they like people and sometimes they hate people. I'm sorry. I apologize. I am trying to learn. Not easy. It's not easy. When they impeach you for nothing, and you're supposed to like them, it's not easy, folks. I do my best,' he said.

Really not sure if Romney was using it as an excuse or if he really believes the White Horse thing of his faith and he is the savior.

I tend to think he really believes it

That said, VOTE HIM OUT

“Pelosi, a devout Catholic,”

Well, except for that little abortion issue.

“That said, VOTE HIM OUT”

Pelosi is old, alcoholic and senile. If the House doesn’t flip, the squad will take her out.

Romney is nucking futs. He committed political suicide.

I have to agree with President Trump.

As to Pierre Delecto, I see his “justification” as being as genuine and honest as he is.

Strong faith and lack of critical thinking have nothing to do with one another. He refused to recognize a flawed, rushed, and corrupt impeachment process in the House. The Democrats took a giant poop in the well of the Senate, and his God told him they were a pile of golden tablets.

Romney and Pelosi would’ve been good little Pharisees. They justified their actions on their religious beliefs, too.

here is an interesting story ( but I think he really believes he is the Savior of the Constitution as per his religion)

https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2019-10-19/mitt-romney-white-horse-prophecy-mormon-joseph-smith
When I think of Romney these days it’s hard not to recall a story of our frontier ancestors, both early Mormon settlers in northern Arizona. Our great-grandfathers were friends and bonded over the fact they were both arrested for polygamy at the same time, in 1884. When Mitt’s ancestor, Miles P. Romney, couldn’t afford bail, my paternal great-grandfather, William Jordan Flake, lent him $1,000, but Romney never repaid him. Instead Miles P. lit out for Mexico with his wives and children, while my great-grandfather spent six months in the Yuma Territorial Prison before returning to the families that awaited in the town named after him. Later he became one of the first Arizona state senators, perhaps laying out a political path for his progeny: Former Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake is also one of his descendants.

Pelosi is a “devout Catholic “ like Hannibal Lecter was an observant vegan.

Let’s hear Nancy reconcile her support for Abortion and Homosexual “marriage” with her “faith”.

“...Pelosi, a devout Catholic...”
For the vile, demonic Botoxian to be present anywhere near the POTUS should have been considered a direct physical and spiritual threat to him.
The Botoxian’s presence is typical communist, demonic hypocrisy. I wonder if it was wearing its bullet bracelet again like it did at the SOTU address?
Sounds like the POTUS broke it off in both their azzes.....again.
Love this POTUS!

So the Moron Faith does not recognize the 10 Commandments, specifically “thou shalt not bear false witness”?

Pelosi, a devout Catholic...

Do these writers know the meaning of the word "devout"?

I’m reminded of what Lincoln said at his second inaugural: “It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God’s assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men’s faces; but let us judge not that we be not judged.”

Here is what I do not understand. Do they really think that helping advance the communist agenda is going to help keep communism from squashing their own religion at some point later on? They are stepping on their own feet with their own sentiments and support of Democratic Socialism.

The Democrats took a giant poop in the well of the Senate, and his God told him they were a pile of golden tablets.

I don't believe his God told him anything. He reminds me of the story of a young woman I once knew, who had a relationship with a certain "devout" young man and became pregnant as a result. When she asked him to marry her, he said he'd have to "pray on it." Next day he told her he had prayed, and and prayed and prayed, until he couldn't pray any more, but in the end God had told him that it just wasn't right. I didn't believe him, and I don't believe Mitt.
