Any figures regarding the number of infected people and the number of deaths released by the Chicoms should be multiplied by 20.
Or maybe 30.

Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

How many Westerners living and working in Wusan have contracted or died from this coronavirus? What is the genetic susceptibility? Politically incorrect but critical question to answer in order to understand the epidemiology of this disease.

Is there a way to prove this? If it were remotely true, would the Trump Administration confirm or let the Chinese lie continue?

This does a better job of explaining the Chinese government response we are seeing than does the number of less than 300 deaths. You do not shut down your economy for 300 deaths out of tens of thousands of infected people.

TIME MAKES ALL THINGS CLEAR.
It appears both China and the USA have overacted to the corona virus.
Both countries have lost tens of thousands of people yearly to the flu. Nothing new there.
The overaction of both countries to this flu strain indicates to me, something is different and we will have to wait to find out what that is - if we are ever told. Time will tell. -Tom

China has NO good reason to publish the real numbers.
It’s not necessarily a communist thing - I doubt the United States would publish the real numbers either. The difference is that the Chinese press does not have the ability to do any investigations. On a politically-neutral issue, the American press can investigate.

Spanish flu compared to Conronovirus would be helpful.
But when Spanish flu existed we didn’t have the kind of medicine we do today.
This ones turning out to be a killer. All the doomsday people are right about that.
