EXACTLY TO THE WORD what you said. I was driving Atlanta streets than he did the Reverrrend Jackonnnnn thing and I thought to myself this guy will be toast by the end of the day.
Given that the Democrats absolutely HATE Rush Limbaugh, I was surprised they were self-contained and did not make baboon noises and shrieks at this moment.
Their self-restraint through most of Trump’s speech was surprisingly commendable (other than Pelosi’s tearing up her copy of Trump’s speech).
I almost cried. It was a touching moment.
I'm not so sure. I know he said as much but Rush has a history of being pretty private about his medical situations and not really telling us everything. He went deaf and was getting treatment for like a year before he said anything, for example. I recall my father when he was getting treatment for the exact same cancer and he looked similar, thin,, frail, weakened, his hair suddenly white, and face unshaven because of some sort of blood thinner precluding him shaving. The cancer doesn't do that, the treatment does.
I saw Rush on TV pretty recently and he looked as I've always known him to. Suddenly he looks older, frailer. I think he may be saying he's going to be getting more aggressive treatment coming up, but I'd bet he's getting some sort of treatment already.
Well, he said he learned on his birthday. Only 3 1/2 weeks ago. Takes some time for treatment regimen to designed by the oncologist, surgical options to be discussed with the surgeon, and radiologist consolations.
I am glad he is being honored now and not posthumously.
Exactly. Presenting it to Rush during SOTU speech made it that much more significant.
He said that he received the definitive diagnosis on 20 Jan.
In my case, it was 20 days between diagnosis and the beginning of treatment. Different kind of cancer. So the timeline as Rush stated on radio sounds pretty plausible to me.
His words will live on, and there are many men and women who will carry on in his footsteps. He just kicked some snow. It’s still rolling and growing.
Sad, but true.
With 20 some odd million people praying for him, we must hope for the best. Many huge strides have been made! Think and pray positively! I have lived with 4 or 5 Survivors who live and lived into their late 80’s!
He knew he was getting the Medal in the future.
But, he wasn’t told he would receive it last night
She is truly the most beautiful first lady we’ve had.
God bless you Rush always
Very emotional for everyone except SanFranNan. Also honored by everyone except SanFranNan.
Me too
When Rush passes, he should be given a state funeral and lay in honor under the Capitol rotunda.
I don’t know how he didn’t find out. His reaction seemed genuine to me.
“I dont know how he didnt find out.”
I thought that, too, until I heard him tell how that day and the day before were filled with taking care of cancer logistics, etc.
He did know he was getting the award but believed it would be weeks later.
