Talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh is expected to attend President Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday night, where the president is to announce that Limbaugh will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in the coming months, a source told Fox News.

Please pray with me, that Rush has many more than a year or two. I know this is not necessarily part of God’s plan, that I respect, but if I may, I pray that Rush is able to go into full remission, and also live many years more! He is a national treasure!

Trump kind of sand-bagged 69 year old Rush Limbaugh tonight.
Rush didn’t seem to know he was going to receive this award. He was shocked, and looked to Kathryn as if to ask, did you know this? And when it sunk in it was really happening, Trump announced that Melania would present the medal immediately.
As she put the medal around Rush’s neck, it was silent in the chamber. Then one man said it for the rest of us.
“Thank you Rush!”

It seemed to inject a little life back into ol’ Rush.
President Trump has real class, and consideration for others.
Trump is a caring thoughtful man.
When he thinks it’s called for, he shoots from the hip.
I support that. It’s what real men do.
I was fortunate enough to have a great boss. I worked for him from around January 1975, until the mid 1990s when he retired.
He and I would have words once in a while. It was forgotten in minutes by the both of us.
He was a gruff person. Half the staff was scared stiff of him. He was actually a really great guy.
That is Trump in a nutshell.
I have a lot of respect for him.
It was a moving moment. How fitting that he will likely be the only person ever awarded the medal at the state of the union. A special honor for an incredible American.

I know it was announced earlier in the day that he would be receiving it, maybe he knew maybe he didn’t know, but if he knew I’m not sure he knew he would be receiving it at the State of the Union.
