Rush just announced he has advanced lung cancer...just announced! Bad,bad news!
I am also devastated!! Mr. RooRoo and I feel like Rush is a family member, we’ve been listening to him for 30 years. Rush paved the way for so many great conservative radio hosts, and I’m so grateful to him for that. We love you, Rush!
There are two great men we Freepers all need to be praying for without ceasing: Rush and our great President Trump.
I have a co-worker who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2014. He’s still around, sometimes has some health problems, but he’s he’s still around enjoying life.
You right, hope he falls into the 4% cohort....
If anyone can beat the odds its Rush.
Prayer works. Science works. Dont worry about statistics. Hes not a statistic.
Shocking news. Prays to he and Kathryn and I pray that treatment prolongs his life as long as possible. “Advanced” doesn’t sound good...
I missed his show today, so I don’t know what his exact statement was. However, I didn’t read anything about fighting it or similar words, only that its advanced. Sad.
A great man. Incredible wisdom. Great men like Rush are appreciated, but not as fully as they should be. When these men of talent and wisdom, and leadership leave us, there is a void. Rush’s, whether soon or years from now, will be huge. Huge.
Mine lived almost 2 1/2 years after diagnosis, with a brief 6-month remission period. Died at 60.
I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
power of prayer is enormous.
everyone please pray for Rush.
Ditto that.
My heart is broken, as are millions that will hear this horrific sad news.
Love you, Rush and all that you stand for.
I thought his TV show was funny when I was in high school but it wasn’t life shaping for me. When I was in college in the late 80s and realized that everyone around me would hate me if I told them how I view the world, I felt very alone. And then there was Rush. He was hugely important to me then and I consider him a sort of mentor. I’m not a mind numbed robot, as he jokes the media views us, and I don’t always agree with his take but I always, always respect it.
it says “advanced” doesn’t sound good.
Oh no. Im in tears. God Bless you Rush!
Rush cannot be allowed to die. We need him.
Pray fervently.
The Five Year rate for Pan Can is just now hitting the double digits.
Its usually one of the really low ones.
Prayers up, but this is a very tough diagnosis.
Love & Prayers to you Rush!
Devastating!!!
I know a guy who was in a car accident and when the hospital checked him out they discovered lung cancer. He ended up going to the University of Washington and they removed it and he’s good - just has check ups. A very lucky guy.
Doesn’t sound like the case with Rush - this is terrible news.
F#@% Cancer.
“Boy will he be missed. I know of no one to take his place.”
Just heard this on Hannity. Prayers up for Rush. A blow to this nation beyond any doubt.
But there is someone: Rush’s best sub host, Mark Steyn, who is now a U.S. citizen. If anyone can fill Rush’s shoes, it’s Mark.
Not kidding, I think a `Draft Mark Steyn’ movement should be initiated.
Or maybe a miracle will happen. Millions of prayers already out there.
That is awesome....and very encouraging.... I am in tears....love this man. I also consider him part of my family......my (late) father introduced me to his show back in early 90's...been listening ever since...
Lung cancer likes going to the liver, so that is my guess
My aunt died at 62 of lung cancer, having never smoked a single cigarette in her life. Same with a friend who passed at 58 again having never smoked.
