DES MOINES, Iowa – There will not be a final Des Moines Register poll in Iowa ahead of Monday’s caucuses. The newspaper, along with media partners CNN and Mediacom, announced Saturday night that they would not be releasing their survey, which is considered the gold standard in Iowa polling.
The shocking news came after a Democratic presidential candidate’s name was omitted in at least one of the poll's interviews with a respondent. The New York Times reported that the candidate left off the call was Pete Buttigieg, former mayor of South Bend, Ind.

This dim field of candidates is so filled with losers you could recommend cheering for any of them. But to hope for Bernie to fight back for an obvious screwing by the dim party would make them a bigger train-wreck than they already are.
And if they are so shameless and desperate as to change the rules with such a worthless excuse as buttigieg being left off one call I’ll bet that’s what we’ll see.

Bernie is going to win the first THREE
Yes, Biden is still ahead in South Carolina, but his lead is shrinking, and after 3 wins in a row, Bernie will have all the media and momentum and could pull an upset in South Carolina, and if so.. it’s over and Bernie is the nominee.
I dont know if anyone has ever won the first three and NOT won the nomination.

It’s somewhat of a tradition for The Des Moines Register to publish the final poll of the campaign season on the Sunday before the Iowa caucuses. Except this year, they refuse to publish the results citing a “polling problem“.
The CNN/DMR cover story is that one pollster may have pronounced Buttigieg name incorrectly. However, everyone knows the real reason…. Bernie has a big lead.
Bernie Sanders is going to crush the field on Monday. The results above are on the low-side of what will happen. Buttigieg doesn’t have anywhere near that level of support and the Biden and Warren support is purely a media creation.

I was thinking of the non-releasing of one of the latest polls because of buttigieg being left of one call.
The rules changes was for a dim debate that might benefit bloomberg allowing him to step in. Both pretty shabby.

Translation: They didn’t like the results so they found an excuse to invalidate the poll. It may or may not have been true.
On the one hand, they can say that if one candidate was excluded from one call, can we be sure that another candidate wasn't excluded from another call?
On the other hand, they usually over-sample the population and then apply their methodology to reduce the responses to meet their target sample make-up. If they know of the call that dropped a candidate, they know of any other calls that dropped a candidate. They can always discard those calls and still draw their target sample population from the remaining set of calls.
This means they can't manipulate the samples to get the poll result they want.
