When Bill Kristol swore he would never vote for President Donald Trump, he meant it. The longtime conservative commentator took to Facebook today to admit that he is a Democrat—for now.
In a tweet, the former editor-at-large of the now-defunct Weekly Standard, declared: "Not presumably forever; not perhaps for a day after Nov. 3, 2020; not on every issue or in every way until then. But for the time being one has to say: We are all Democrats now."

Well, if I remember correctly, Kristol was one of the first to recommend Sarah Palin for VP back in 2008.
It will be funny if bolshevik bernie wins the nomination and kristhole has to sit there and defend communism.
Conservatism is about principles; it’s about what you stand for. What does Kristol stand for that he finds in the Democrat party? Which candidate does he favor?
I don’t care if he hates Trump. There are legitimate reasons to dislike his demeanor, the way he communicates, etc even though that’s also what many find appealing about him. And nobody will agree on policy with anyone 100% of the time.
I don’t know the history of his anti-Trumphood - is it personal? Or is it because Kristol is much more of a globalist type?

Wait. Isn’t “coming out of the closet” supposed to refer to revealing something about yourself that could put you in a shunned minority? Ragging on Trump and Republicans is like “coming out” as a mean girl.
And we fret that Conservatism loses so often. It was due to the enemy within.
