A CNN panel is facing intense backlash on Monday night for mocking Trump supporters as "credulous boomer rubes," even sparking fierce condemnation from President Trump and his presidential campaign.
The panel, which originally aired on Saturday night during special live coverage of the impeachment trial, featured CNN anchor Don Lemon, New York Times columnist and CNN contributor Wajahat Ali, and ex-GOP strategist Rick Wilson discussing the heated exchange Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had with an NPR reporter, where he allegedly challenged the journalist to point out Ukraine on a blank map.
Wilson used the topic to mock President Trump as well as his supporters.

Interesting to note that the obnoxious white guy is a former GOP strategist.
The contempt for the common people is not purely a leftist phenomenon.
The CNN management of the early 1990s would have called the whole crew in, and fired them the very next day. Now? It’s just entertainment, not the news.
Why do these people illogically tend to paint Trump supporters with a broad brush not realizing there are Trump supporters with advanced degrees all the way to Trump supporters who graduated high school and everything in between?
Why then do they tend to infer they are the highly educated ones and others not so much? Overcompensating? Inferiority complex?
How do they manage to deal with the irony that more often than not liberals virtue signal about how much they care about people, how tolerant they are, how much they love people when their actions, as we see here, put the lie to this time and time again?
All the President Trump supporters I know have impressive credentials. Bernie supporters not so much - if he wasn’t promising free stuff they’d ridicule him.
CNN just can’t get any dumber. The anchors who run the show look down on Trump and on the rest of us.
We get it - let the Swamp do what it does best - run Washington.

For three and a half friggin’ years. The worst was when
Donny and his “guest” mocked, and laughed at Melania when she talked of bullying.
I wish it was just that.
This type of behavior is rampant among them as this is far from being the first time that CNN (and others like MSNBC) have been taken to task over boorish behavior.
