On Christmas Day, according to police, Josue Osorio-Quino brutally stabbed to death Juana Us-Perez in front of her children. He also stabbed, fortunately not fatally, her 14-year-old son, who had tried to protect his mother.
We have since learned from court documents that this murder suspect is an illegal alien. He has previously been deported. Twice.
Osorio-Quino could have gone anywhere. Why did he come to Philadelphia? Because Mayor Kenney’s declaration that we are a sanctuary city acts like a magnet.

Obviously, sanctuary cities are not the only problem. A revolving door deportation policy is just as bad.

It is a felony now but judges are lenient as hell.

That's what should happen.
I read a book about the history of victim's rights. A woman who lost her husband was able to tour the prison where the criminal was housed.
She was shaken to pass apparently happy, laughing, joking around cons. Most accepting being there, taken care of and not having to work. Meals, dental work, health care. Entertained by TV and stereo music. Some pumping iron and doing circuit training (to get in shape for violent crimes later?) Using better computers and software than she could afford at home. She was depressed.
No sign of hard labor. Work gangs (chain gangs) outlawed. Just do your time with plea bargain and parole and get out and get more goodies from the public.
None of us on FR would want to spend a minute in prison, which would be unbearable for us. But to the Dems they often just accept it. Two different types of beings.

I think South Philly may be lost. Too few fighting for it and far too many kept voting democrat for many decades.
