Today my grandson, who is in the 6th grade, mentioned the phrase "social justice warrior."
I wasn't paying attention and didn't know what had preceded that, but I asked him: "What is a social justice warrior?"
"A nut!" he replied.
I asked: "Are there any social justice warriors at your school?" (clearly meaning among the students; virtually all the faculty consists of social justice warriors).
He thought, then said: "Not that I can think of."
"So it's not cool to be a social justice warrior?" I asked.
He thought for a moment and then said: "Actually it's kind a cool to trash on those kinds of people."
Then his sister, also in the 6th grade, came in.
I asked her: "What is a social justice warrior?"
She thought for a few minutes. Then she said, in a high-pitched, shrill voice: "It's someone who's like, 'I'm giving my children aromatherapy instead of giving them vaccines.'"
My wife came in. I told her to ask them what a social justice warrior is. When she asked, our grandson immediately replied, with firm conviction: "A lunatic!"

I just wish states wouldn’t get involved in a personal lifestyle. Yes, I know somehate that my generation is more more libertarian about sexual issues that most, but why should the government be in the bedroom? I have friends who are gay,no big deal ..
