Recently at the NCAA college football championship game between Louisiana State and Clemson, a picture was taken of actor Vince Vaughn shaking hands with President Donald Trump as the two watched the game from a private box at the Superdome in New Orleans. Someone posted it on the internet and the left-wing social media went nuts against Vaughn. How dare he “humanize” Trump! That was the mantra.
When the left does this, their desire is to “cancel” a person; that means to attack and ruin the ability of the targeted individual to live life free of harassment and/or to make a living. And unlike the right, the left controls almost all the levers of power in our country and can make life a living hell for someone, especially public figures like Vaughn, who identifies in any way with Christians or conservatives.
Fortunately for Vaughn, he has been around long enough that he will likely survive the attempts to have him canceled in Hollywood. But had he been an up-and-coming actor, the photo with President Trump would have been the end of his career. Vaughn, as far as I know, has not taken a public position on Trump’s presidency. It’s the mere fact that he showed class and civility—he shook hands with the president. What an offense!
Now, to try to understand the thought process behind this attempt to “cancel” Americans who don’t agree with left-wing politics, one has to grasp the way a lot of “progressives” think. They believe that Christians and conservatives are much like Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. In fact, they use these words to describe us: deplorables, bigots, fascists, nationalists, religious extremists, Nazis—you get the point.
For them, Donald Trump is our leader and must be taken out by any means necessary. By “taken out,” I mean politically, but I also mean many of these leftists would like to see the president physically dead. They would murder him if they could get to him.
This is why Madonna says she would like to blow up the White House. This is why rapper Snoop Dogg’s album cover shows him pointing a gun at President Trump’s head. This is why comedian Kathy Griffin poses with a picture of herself holding up the bloody, decapitated head of Donald Trump.
It is not limited to a hatred of the president either. Project Veritas recently videoed a Bernie Sanders staffer saying that after Sanders wins the 2020 election, it would be necessary to reeducate Trump supporters. He went on to say that Soviet gulags weren’t really that bad and were “actually meant for, like, reeducation.” He cryptically added that this is what Sen. Sanders is really talking about when he touts “free education for everybody.” These are just several examples that come to mind.
In Hollywood or with corporate America, there is no price to pay for such hateful behavior. On the contrary, they are applauded and rewarded. Case in point: former NFL star Colin Kaepernick promotes communist dictators like Fidel Castro and wears socks that depict cops as pigs, and is heralded as a man of great courage and moral principle by Hollywood and NIKE, which pays him millions and millions of dollars to be the company spokesman.
Make no mistake, the goal of progressives is to regulate thought, speech and actions using the force of law to impose their beliefs on all Americans. Now, they are not in a position to do that quite yet, but that is their objective.
In fact, one of the reasons they are so angry now is that President Trump has appointed 187 conservative federal judges and two Supreme Court justices, thereby reshaping the federal bench. When Trump was elected in 2016, this threw a major monkey wrench into their plans to have Hillary Clinton appoint judges who would allow Christians and conservatives to be targeted for fines, imprisonment or banishment in the name of “ending hate and inequality” or “saving the planet” or “stopping gun violence.”
To be honest with you, it is quite scary. The progressive elite doesn’t believe much in debate, discussion or respecting the beliefs of others. No, they think we are Nazis and need to be stopped again—by any means necessary. Who knows how successful they will be?
One thing is certain—now more than ever, with the help of God, Christians need to be engaged in politics and government to help save and restore the America we have known and loved for our children and grandchildren.

Liberals are instituting blasphemy laws. Hate speech = anything contrary to social justice.
They’re laying down the emotional foundation to kill blasphemers. To express opinions contrary to loving peaceful social justice is to advocate violence against sacred believers/innocent minorities. Therefore, to oppose open borders is to want brown people murdered and opposing transgenderism is equal to wanting to kill all of them. This justifies violence against those inciting violence.
It is an appropriation of Islam’s reasoning for killing critics and open rejection of the social norms of the faith. You won’t wear a hijab and burned it in public? You denied Mohamed? You’ve attacked all the true believers, this is an act of attempted murder of the whole community, we can kill you.
Or destroy things if they don’t like it.
Instead of starting the “gay scouts” - they instead destroyed the 100+ year old Boy Scouts
I think the cancel movement has peaked. People who can shrug off the left’s mob rule. Those who can’t become shy Trump voters as a caller to Rush on Friday called them. It appears that the resistance to the left is strengthening and deepening.

I agree with the sentiment, but I hear over and over that many denominations, and many pastors are seriously infected with PC. I'm not a churchgoer, so I don't know. Anyone else have a perspective on this?

I learned over 30 years ago that NOBODY in Hollywood or the Entertainment Industry ever Allowed their Own Children to watch or listen to the Crap they produce, the few that did had their children end up in Rehab or Dead. I gave up on everything Hollywood over 30 years ago.
Why would you watch or allow your children to watch something the Very Creators, Producers and Actors FORBID their Children from watching??
My guess is, by 2026, the Left will love Trump again, kissing his feet, angling for a weekend at Mar-A-Lago, while they'll hate and despise President Mutt the Hoople.
My perspective is...many pastors remain PC and kind of wishy-washy in their sermons due to 2 things...
1. Losing people from their congregations, and...
2. Losing their money.
The bigger churches generally have the most plain-vanilla sermons preached. Anytime a pastor brings forth a convicting sermon, they’re likely to have a backlash of ‘offended’ people. They trust in the people and their money to pay the bills instead of trusting in the provision of G-d. He has already said He would take care of those who do His will...perhaps not in the way we might think, but He still DOES take care of His people.
Many pastors stay in the PC camp for just that reason.

Their goal is the same goal that Communists have always had. To kill off those who oppose and resist the iron fist of totalitarian government. The left has been saying this more and more openly over the last few years, and is on track to stop even trying to hide it.
