In a previous post I mentioned that we will know more in two weeks, so we agree on something.
This is a disccussion forum where people comment about the news of the day and offer (mostly uninformed) opinions (see my tag line).
On any given subject we can be sure 50% of the opinions are wrong and 50% are right. So you may very well be right and I may very well be wrong.
What about all the illegal aliens slipping into our country? They’re not getting screened. And a lot of Chinese are smuggled into the US. They just don’t get the same amount of attention that those slipping in through our southern border get.
Some version that does not require transfusions. I presume it is B but there are versions of alpha that it could be.(I think)
I have never had the in depth test to determine. Always been told I am anemic until I have to tell the Doc..no...my blood tests are wacky because of Thalassemia..
One parent had gene other did not.
I really need to get some kind of medical bracelet to alert first responders since my blood levels are scary looking if I am knocked out cold on the street for some reason.

There are no obvious symptoms - before death of patient. This is no just ‘the flu’ - word out of China is that it has mutated into something worse.
The number of people infected by a single person is unprecedented at 3.8. Obvious (fever cough etc) symptoms are not necessary to produce a lot of virus in this case - evidently. While you might balk at that, remember China’s primer Bio Research center is in Wusan (which according to a Chinese press release is working diligently on the problem. They go on to state there is absolutely no possibility that anything escaped and everyone is perfectly safe). Perhaps the never read about Fort Detrick.
No one knows what the correct mortality number is, since the biggest outbreak is in China who will never release accurate of complete numbers, We will just have to wait until there is sufficient cases in the West before mortality rate can be judged

I’m still keeping an open mind- mostly based on not being able to trust the information coming from China.
I will say they appear to be taking extreme measures IF what they say is true. Preparing for 8k beds in hospitals and gradually shutting down the country is not in keeping with 56 deaths and 2,000 infected. What they’re doing doesn’t match what their figures are saying.
As for all the possible conspiracies I am unconvinced.
The 90k figure reported by the doc/nurse on YouTube doesn’t seem to be coming from other sources, but it would fit with the actions being taken by the government. So, I’m trying to remain objective and consider all information.
It matters a lot to me as I work in a large hospital that treats patients coming from all over the world.
From available info I’ve gathered those who died have been over 60 with other ongoing health issues making them vulnerable.
There are a great many unknowns here, too many for comfort.

the bulk of the Federal government in DC is a patronage and employment system the elites use for control - somewhat effective, but very expensive. The elites might even welcome some natural “slimming down” of this system by the virus as a cost control measure. The elites would be safely riding out any epidemic on Martha’s vineyard, or remote islands in the Carribean.

But I agree you should be vigilent in your work. Also complications or preexisting health issues is a big factor in an area with 10's of millions of people getting flu and other viruses at a high rate and we don't have any of that information.
